22.01.2022 Reigning Australian Champion Ewe, Also Royal Champion, with her young ewe lamb at foot. Loving this time of the year watching lambs grow. I think her mum is giving her a few hints on her winnings ways. Her granddam was also a Champion at Sheepvention. Then her great granddam was also an Australian Champion. I guess that’s what you can call a Champion Line. She’s got some big shoes to fill next year.. no pressure though young girly.

20.01.2022 Loving the type of this ewe that we’ve got in our sale in just over two weeks. Videos and Images will be on AuctionsPlus shortly.

20.01.2022 Best feeling when you see a keeper ram for the first time.

20.01.2022 Good News Story for your Friday morning. Lambs in New Zealand at La-Mac Hamps.

20.01.2022 Vaccinating first drop of hampshire lambs for the year. Sires represented Aurora Park 8020, Aurora Park 8019 and Glen West ‘Governor’ 180060.

20.01.2022 Well done to Glenelk Hamps with their young ram winning supreme exhibit. Our young ewe who is due to lamb this next week clinched the reserve title. Fantastic to see the great support by all breeders and the sheep community judging along the way!

18.01.2022 Triplets! (Ram & 2 Ewes) From our ewe lamb 9003 that was the Reserve Supreme Exhibit for the Hamp Online Show earlier this month. Also she was Supreme Ewe Lamb at Berwick and Supreme Lamb at Horsham. One of our quickest growing lambs last year, she’s also got some of our highest EBV’s with many traits being in our top 10% of our flock, and now triplets! Really out doing the rest in her first year. Lambs sired by 5322. @ Aurora Park & Burrandool Studs

15.01.2022 Thank you for everyone coming to our inspection day today for our sale on AuctionsPlus next Tuesday at 2pmAEST.

13.01.2022 Proud ewe lamb, out of a triplet daughter of Burrandool 1321, and sire line of our Burrandool 3033 family. Over 100 Hampshire lambs on the ground and a heap more to come.

13.01.2022 Introducing our new stud sire from the Womboota Border Leicester Stud. Caught in a bit of rain coming home, looks good even when wet.

11.01.2022 Interesting going back through some Central Progeny Test results. Just a basic growth rate to birth-marking from top sires from 1993-96. Still quite a few names on this list operating today.

09.01.2022 A few of Aurora Park 8020 progeny for those who asked to see them. Three ewe lambs and Two ram lambs. 8020 was a show ram last year that won a few interbreeds.

09.01.2022 Hampshire Down Lamb Shank. Chef - Helen. Vulture - Me. My rating - Unreal. #EatLamb @ Aurora Park & Burrandool Studs... #Hampshire #HampshireDown #StudLivestock See more

08.01.2022 Weaning our first joining from May-June drop today, spotted this well shaped ewe lamb, sired by Aurora Park 8019-18. Born 11th June, now weighs 36.2kg, Birth Weight of 6kg, so she’s been putting on 480 grams and per day, over 63 days since birth. Average weight was 32.8kg. Heaviest lamb was a twin ram lamb at 48.4kg with growth of 500grams per day over 85 days.

07.01.2022 Really pleased to be offering this ram and a few others, including multiple stud ewes in November. This ram 9090 ticks all of our selection criteria for the figures that we select on. Positive EMD and High PWT for hamps and a few others like muscle yield, He has brilliant shape and structure. Everytime I look at him I question my decision of why would I let someone else have him! If you’d like to own this ram and maybe some girls to go home with him, send me a message with your email and I’ll send through a catalogue in October to you.

07.01.2022 Lamb - He cannot possibly tag me if I keep hold of this.

05.01.2022 Thanks to everyone for the support in the online hamp show. We were quite pleased with our entries in all classes. Here is two of our entries in each of the classes. #hampshiredown @ Aurora Park & Burrandool Studs

03.01.2022 Some unreal images of an ET ram lamb sired by Burrandool 1321 at 18 days. The strength, style and growth capabilities of this line unsurprisingly is the reason why it has produced multiple stud sires for us.

03.01.2022 Out of all the stud sale catalogues I’ve looked through this season, this ram from the Valma Stud in Tasmania catches my eye the most. Very impressive. Whoever gets him will be extremely lucky.

03.01.2022 First Lambs from our new stud sire Aurora Park ‘Bold Ruler’ 9099-19. After a great amount of blood testing, he is our first Scrapie Resistant sire with the ARR-ARR genotype. Luckily enough we didn’t have to sacrifice any performance to obtain the genotype as this fella is in our top 5% of the 2019 drop. Terrific depth and lovely wedge shape from side on and from above. He will produce many keeper daughters as we progress our flock to the ARR-ARR genotype. He was used over our ewe lambs which are starting to drop now. These lambs were out of a 2019 ewe who was produced last year by an Ai sire Ramsay Park 77-2001 who was a Royal Champ in 2002. Very pleasing to see her produce twins at 14 months. @ Aurora Park & Burrandool Studs

02.01.2022 Merinos home and lots of drafting. This happens once a year and I will hopefully get to relive this day for at least another 60 years!
