22.01.2022 Deborah Kelly has been in Kandos over the last week, working non stop with The Women With Knives collective to produce a body of work as part of a large projec...t she is mounting. This is very exciting for us, as WWK was formed during Deborah's residency in preparation of her work for Cementa19. The collective has persisted on its own steam since its inception (with a sabbatical for COVID) and so to have Deborah return to engage the group in this amazing project feels like completing the circle, or should I say cycle, cause of course she will have to come back! 20.01.2022 There is a sensuous surrender when we let ourselves go, allowing ourselves to fill our bodies without contraction. When we dance. This video is about the yearni...ng for surrender and sensuous embodiment, so elusive in the trappings of our minds. We hunger for VISCERAL EMBODIMENT, for ecstatic dance. See more

15.01.2022 I am fascinated by the search for truth. The search for truth manifests itself in multiple ways: there’s the search for objective facts, consensus truth, quan...tifiable reality... the reality of physics and science and technology. But there’s also the search for what you might call poetic truth, the truth of myths and stories and movies and art and music. The subjective landscapes of our own experience, our own interiority. Ursula LeGuin said it best: Science describes accurately from the outside. Poetry describes accurately from the inside. Science explicates. Poetry implicates... ... what do you think? See more

08.01.2022 #OnThisDay 1971: Fyfe Robertson had to stretch his not inconsiderable legs to keep up with pint-sized walking enthusiast Louise Todd, during a brisk stroll. Charming stuff.

06.01.2022 Our 5-year-old daughter Emilie plays her favourite song Moon River on melodeon, and sends you a good-wish message. The melodian is a wonderful and inexpensive... instrument. It’s very responsive to the pressure of breath you blow through it to make loud and soft. If you'd like to own a melodeon, here's a purchase link: https://shopee.com.my/Suzuki-Melodian-MX-32D-with-case-i.79 Related videos: Piano for Emilie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gwduHKyjdE Art with Emilie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tz6x2LwInzE&t=34s

04.01.2022 "I'm brown, I should not wear pink tights." Michaela DePrince was a war orphan who fell in love with ballet, but faced a battle to fit into a world dominated by fair-skinned dancers.

04.01.2022 Life is better when it’s poetic. Everything should be seen as worthy of aesthetic consideration. Engaging playfully and creatively with the world reveals it for... what it is: an open stage, ready to be acted upon. We get to deploy our interpretive frameworks our imagination as an augmented reality overlay that re-sacralizes the world, making it a canvas of what Diane Ackerman calls DEEP PLAY.... try it sometime: cast the right friends, pick a beautiful spot, mindfully choose the right song, and set a verbal intention. Then watch what happens. See more
