13.01.2022 Happy Friday morning to you all! We're going to #starttheday and end the week with a little #backstory .. 3 DREAM RINGS FROM 1 NIGHTMARE..... This gorgeous petite 3 ring 18ct Gold and #Diamond set, was #handmade in house for one of our newest customers. Sadly a long road to happiness before landing on our doorstep.. We emplore everyone to shop around and be careful with who they choose to use for their sentimental work and remelts of old jewellery as this one was a bit of a horror story. The second photo in line 'The Trilogy'.. before coming to us our customer had a pile of old sentimental jewellery and stones from pieces she had sitting and really wanted them turned into a #dreamring which was that second picture. Followed by misleading information given from another #jeweller what they returned to her was the 3rd picture.. #failure .. After years of being upset with the piece, she found us and decided to try her luck again. Sadly majority of her old gold had been taken previously and all she had left was the "new" ring which was made using her old gold, a bag of loose stones and the same dream of the "trilogy ring". We came up with a quick sketch, which followed the design brief, but explained with the specific stones that were there the same look couldn't be accomplished due to not having the exact shaped stones for the job (4th picture). Then to show a little more detail and give a full perspective on the sketch we supplied a full 3D CAD render (5th Picture).. which showed a very stunning ring idea for the materials she had, but definitly wasn't what she was after. After a short discussion and some correct information, following the brief that our customer really wanted a trilogy style ring. Keeping in mind that she had paid a fortune prior to us and only had limited amount of materials now left to put towards the new make.. We said 'you know what.. we can turn that 1 ring into your #Dream Trilogy Ring and 2 #Solitaire Marquise rings for your daughters. So here we are... From 1 dream ring, to 3 dream rings from on #Nightmare.
