25.01.2022 Here are a couple of lovely pics of the beautiful BNT Aztec Gold bred at BNT Stud in Victoria, he is a cremello dun Australasian Azteca gelding out of smoky Grullo QH mare SG Georgia. Proudly owned by Karene Matthews in WA, he certainly got the Spanish hair he did from his Sire Picaro PM! Gorgeous! I believe there is frozen semen available from this stunning boy too...

16.01.2022 Exciting new baby and proud new mum! The first Australasian Azteca to Australasian Azteca foal born in Australia that we know of! A stunning palomino filly by BNT Aztec Gold out of Amber Del Alcazar. Born last night in W.A. Congratulations Karene Matthews and Sarah Poultney! We are excited to see more pictures of this little stunner soon! :)

13.01.2022 Just a little post to say apologies for delays in processing some applications on the website Studbook and for printed Certificates. We have all been affected by the drastic changes and fluid situation that Covid has created over the last 6 months. I am doing my best to juggle things and as this Online Registry and Association is still in its infancy to some degree, I encourage those who are involved to view it as a developing data-base and an opportunity to further promote ...and grow the breed in Australasia. If members and/or Azteca owners wish to get involved more in an Admin capacity, or with ideas for Shows etc online/local that we can get our horses involved in please feel free to contribute and let me know by PM! :) Lets be inclusive and supportive of each other and our horses, thats what I personally wish to promote. :) Thanks again for your patience...Cheers Tamara See more

07.01.2022 Post below by Member Karene Matthews- Big Congrats on your success! :) It was a very early start for Graham Mills, Amber Doherty and myself as we travelled to Perth today to attend the Andalusian State Championships with our 2 youngsters "BNT Aztec Gold" and "El Manteca Amadala". This was the first show that both horses have attended and to say that I'm just a teeny bit proud of their behaviour throughout the whole day is an understatement. Wow what a fantastic show, a huge... thankyou goes out to all the Andalusian state committee members, judges and ground crew for putting on such a well run show. Thankyou also goes out to our new AAP member Amber who assisted myself to run both horses out and doing a fabulous job and thankyou once again to Graham for taking so many lovely photo's which he does so well. Taniqua won Reserve State Champion Purebred Andalusian mare with lots of minor placing in other events and Torres won Reserve State Champion Partbred Andalusian gelding plus Champion Baroque Derivative representing the Azteca breed plus many more minor placing in other events. 03.01.2022 We are looking for someone competent who might like to help/take over the admin of this page and the online studbook and website for Azteca Horses Australasia. You need to understand the breed and be a current member and owner of an Azteca horse. There is not a huge amount of work currently but someone that would like to be an ambassador to promote the breed through organising classes and shows/sponsorship/promotion etc wold be great! If you have some experience in this area with other breeds or events that’s obviously a bonus but not required. Please PM me if you would like to chat further on this. Cheers Tamara (Admin)
