24.01.2022 "R U OK?" A question often asked, but often loses direction following its answer. This time has been especially tough, we're experiencing such a unique global mourning, it often feels as though there's no point in asking the question at all. But we hope that people also recognise the global connectivity that this time has brought us, a connectivity that lends itself to open conversation, follow up questions and action.... The theme of this years "R U OK? Day" Is "Theres more to say, after R U OK?" and we are here for it. There are many different ways in which you can help your mates and loved ones after finding out that they are struggling. There is no one way in how you can make a difference. We implore you to not only talk to those around you, but LISTEN. Hear them and ask them HOW you can help. We are all hurting a little, and we can't get through this without each other. If you are struggling, please reach out to your friends and family and let them know how you feel, we promise you are not alone. We will also chuck a bunch of links to articles and hotlines in our story that we have found helpful in expanding and exploring greater conversations around Mental Health. 23.01.2022 With the music scene on the brink of collapse, 61 independent live music venues have joined together to launch an online petition calling on the NSW Government to provide immediate support to save the state’s live music industry. The Queensland and Victorian Governments have committed millions of dollars in support to their venues, now we’re asking the NSW Government to act. We call on the NSW Government to work with MusicNSW and industry representatives to devise a stimulus... package that will ensure the ongoing survival of our venues. A package that will support the artists and communities who depend on live music for their existence, safeguard the future of our industry, and save our stages.
