25.01.2022 Auspire was proud to host 350 high school students this morning for another incredible Inspiring Australians Student Forum which featured a stellar line-up of the 2020 Australian of the Year recipients and finalists. A huge thank you to our Event Sponsor Perdaman and National Diversity and Inclusion Partner of the Australian of the Year Awards Chevron Australia and our host @The University of Western Australia for supporting and encouraging future leaders. It was so exciting... to see a theatre full of bright and enthusiastic faces in person, live on campus again. A huge shout-out to all the awesome teachers who jumped on the chance to get their students out of the classroom and who are passionate about building the next generation of changemakers. We are all part of the story. #auspire #auspiring #Perdaman #Perdamanproject #ausoftheyear #uwa #weareallpartofthestory #reflectrespectcelebrate #chevronaustralia

07.01.2022 We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ms Rabia Siddique as a Non-Executive Director to the Auspire board. In 2015 Ms Siddique was nominated for an Australian of the Year award and in 2016 was recognised as a WA finalist for her role as a human rights lawyer, who successful negotiated release of two SAS soldiers from Iraqi insurgents, before British authorities buried her achievements while awarding her male colleague with a Military Cross. As a committed human rights advocate and highly respected lawyer and businesswoman, Rabia will bring a wealth of experience and insight to the organisation. said Auspire Chairman, Bradley Woods. As an Australian of the Year Awards alumni, Ms Siddique knows Auspire and the work we do well. It was only more recently however that she was exposed to our broader remit around capacity building that focusses on inclusion, equality and building a sense of belonging. If there was ever a time in our Nations history that these concepts needed some fire-power its now. I was humbled to be approached and it will be an honour to serve as a member of the Board. said Ms Sidique. Photo credit - Stef King
