22.01.2022 Flashing News! FIVE YEAR PARENT VISA - from 17 April 2019 The NEW five year sponsored parent visa, will be open for application on 17 April 2019.... This means - Parents will be able to stay for up to five years at a time without departing. Auspac would like to advise that this will be great news for a lot of applicants as they will be able to stay with their children in Australia without leaving Australia for a continuous period of either 3 years or for 5 years!!!!! There are supporting regulations awaiting to be introduced, but the visa will be opened to be applied from 17th April, 2019. The visa application Government charge is payable in two instalments, with one payment at time of application and the remainder paid prior to visa grant. 22.01.2022 The new Temporary Parent visa subclass 870 Information: This visa, unlike other parent visa does not require parents to MEET THE BALANCE OF FAMILY TEST which is great news for a lot of parents who intend to unite with their children and grandchildren in Australia. The stay is up to five years (A three year option or a five year option). Parents can live in Australia continuously for the chosen period without needing to depart Australia. Eligible parents can stay in Australia ...for a maximum of Ten years. The sponsor (the child of the parent) will first be required to be approved as a sponsor prior to then parent lodging the 870 Parent visa. There are requirements for the sponsor which must be met. We have been inundated with calls from our clients to commence the sponsorship process which started from 17th April 2019. Once the sponsorship application is approved then the sponsored parent will be able to apply for the Sponsored Parent (Temporary) visa applications which is intended to open from 1st July 2019. Please note that the visa will be CAPPED until the capped threshold is reached. There are other important criteria and requirements which must be met. 04.01.2022 DAMA (Designated Area Migration Agreements) Good news for our clients who may have age constraints or their level of English may be lower. In short, Australian Employers must apply to the DAMA for approval to sponsor visa applicants, initially on Subclass 482 (work-TSS-Temporary Skills Shortage )visas. ... Some DAMAs have provisions for eventual permanent residency and concessions may be available on usual visa applicant criteria, such as maximum age, minimum English language and skill levels.
