25.01.2022 We know we don't post often, but there are special days where we like to share our appreciation for this great country, and this is one of them. We hope your Australia Day was a good one maaate

25.01.2022 One more sleep until Remembrance Day 2014 - "At 11am on 11 November 1918 the guns of the Western Front fell silent after more than four years continuous warfare." Wear a poppy, raise a flag, have a quiet moment tomorrow for the heroes who died or suffered for Australia's cause in all wars and armed conflicts. Lest We Forget. #proudtobeanaussie #lestweforget #remembranceday

23.01.2022 A beautiful shot of our local Terrigal Skillion with 60,000 poppies honouring our diggers. Well done to the community for such a colossal tribute, it's very moving to visit. For flag owners, The Australian National Flag is to be flown at half mast from dawn until noon today, then raised to the very peak for the remainder of the day. 20.01.2022 With Australia Day fast approaching we can't help but share patriotic creativity - like this song, which we just can't get out of our heads! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rMdbVHPmCW0

18.01.2022 Thought for Thursday: 'It is shorter to drive around our great nation in an anti-clockwise direction, than it is to drive clockwise'.. anyone want to test it and confirm!?

15.01.2022 Hope everyone is having a fantastic Australia Day! Fly it high and proud and celebrate what a lucky country we are.

09.01.2022 Absolutely tragic news hearing that Australian cricketer Phillip Hughes has lost his life following a head injury from the sport. Hughes was a great Australian, a great sportsman and from what we hear a truly great man. Our sincerest sympathies are with his family and friends during this difficult time. #PhillipHughes

07.01.2022 Fly your flag at half mast today, and join the nation in honouring the victims of the Sydney cafe siege. Our hearts go out to all involved, the victims and their families. #halfmastforhostages #protectpeace #illridewithyou

06.01.2022 Gee I'm proud to be an Australian. Great to see everyone showing their earnest compassion by supporting #SeanAbbott after this truly awful sporting accident.

06.01.2022 Hello all! We're not sure if this will work but hopefully it does. We recently found a WW1 Service Medal belonging to Arthur Thomas Horne, and we are hoping to find the family of Arthur so that we can return it. These details are inscribed along the rim of the medal: 37794 GNR A T HORNE 3DAC AIF We have done some research to try and find relatives but have only discovered his father's name (Arthur Henry Horne) and that he joined the AIF on 12/2/1917 at age 19. We also think... it might be a 'Victory Medal'. We have not been able to get much other info from the AWM or online sources. Medal was found on the Central Coast of NSW. Please share if you would like, and perhaps we can find Arthur's family and return what would be a precious item honouring him and his service to our great country. Thanks for your time! See more
