At midnight on June 30 they are being forced to turn off their signal. The reason is back in 2014 the then Federal Minister needed the broadcast spectrum so commercial networks could test new technologies, that testing has been successful and is now completed. The spectrum will just sit there blank. Instead of allowing programming that reaches homes that... the commercial stations wont allow because it will offend viewers simply because of others intolerance to activities like hunting, fishing and 4wd driving. Also multicultural programs that have a small commercial appeal like the successful Sri Lanka programs or the mainstream religious programs or the LGBTQIA programs, to which I say ALL have a place on community TV.
