23.01.2022 Today 2nd round of the championship was played at the magnificent Black Mountain Golf Resort. Some pics here thanks to Big Sav and Stevo. Some good scores again today but it was an incredible 48points from Mike Archer who stole the show. Mike played off a generous handicap of 24 but the match committee might reign him in a bit I suggest. Tony O’Reilly had an impressive 41 points off his 8 handicap for runner up. Stephen White had a handy 40 points as well. Birdie balls to Mike, Tony, Joe, Steve and 2 to Glenn. Sunday to seapines and Monday back to Black Mountain for the final.

21.01.2022 1st round of the championship at the magnificent Banyan golf club just west of Hua Hin. Couple of good scores in particularly Current champion Mike Archer who leads the field after the 1st round. Plenty of pics of the day from Big Sav. Birdies to Tony (3) and Glenn (2). #Banyangolf

17.01.2022 Ying and I took an educational visit to play at Kaeng Krachan golf course today. It’s about 55kms from Hua Hin North/West towards the Burmese border. Great course with 27 holes in the national Park. Cooler conditions greeted us and we were the only 2 playing today, had the course to ourselves and is in great condition very lush green fairways. Found a water monitor on #12 which Ying had to hit over, see pics. Stopped off at Springfield for a feed on the way back at a restaurant called Billabong and was owned by a guy called Brian from McKay in Qld. Great meal and cheap. He has invited back next year for a BBQ.

16.01.2022 Hua Hin Golf tour May 25th - June 8th

11.01.2022 A bit of action from Majestic Creek golf course yesterday. Ambrose event was held and it was Ying, Joe, Stephen and Glenn who came away with the win with a 67 for a nett score of 59.50 followed by Tony, Gordo and Sav miles behind. Course was in excellent shape and all golfers were suitably impressed by the layout. Presentation night last night also with Mike Archer going back to back wins followed by Tony O’Reilly in second and Stephen White in 3rd. Glenda Warren easily took home the women’s division trophy. Mike won the main trophy, bag from Black Mountain, $70 Drummond voucher and 4500THB. Tony picked up a trophy plus a $70 voucher from Anthony Bambridge golf shop in Drouin and 2000THB Steve got the $50 voucher from Anthony.

07.01.2022 3rd round of the championship at Sea Pines golf club today. Course was in fairly average condition due to salt water getting on the fairways and They had just cored and sanded greens so tuff conditions for all. Mike Archer off 21 made it 3 out of 3 with 38 points followed by Glenn with 35. Birdie balls to Glenn, Steve, Ross, Joe and Tony. Mike heads into the final round tomorrow in the drivers seat as he leads by about 15 shots. Tony, Sav and Steve are fighting for 2nd and 3rd it looks atm Tony will have to shoot about 66/67 off the stick to win and then hope mike doesn’t have anymore than 38 points, tuff ask I think as he had 48 points 2 days ago on the same course. Even bought in the trash talkers in Joe, Ken and Tony to throw him off his game today.....didn’t work!

03.01.2022 Final round of the championship at the spectacular Black Mountain today with some great scores in. Tony took the 1500THB 1st prize with 42 points (3 Birdies) from Steve on 41 then Glenn on 40 and Joe at 39 and although Tony closed the gap on runaway leader Mike to only 5 points after 72 holes. Mike took a 12 point lead into the last round and it was enough for him to win the overall championship for the 2nd time in a row. His 127 points secured the win from Tony on 122 third was newcomer Steve White on 117. Pics are of the playing group in their Aussie Thai golf Tours polos specifically in the Thai colours
