25.01.2022 Well done to Ryan in Year 6 for his achievement in the regional Lego League robotics competition on the weekend. Ryan built an incredible core robot for his team and they were awarded 2nd place for the "Robot design award! What a fantastic achievement.

25.01.2022 Mr Cabassi from Bulli High School visited Year 5 today for the next lesson in our project series. Students used images from the photos they took last week to transfer ink onto wood. Mr Cabassi shared painting techniques with students and inspired them with an important lesson: You are not ‘born’ an artist. You become a successful artist through patience, concentration and resilience. Don’t give up.

24.01.2022 We are almost halfway through term 3 and it is awesome to see how well we have responded to the program this term! We have currently raised $1684, and 19 students have achieved 12 hours of skipping practise which is amazing during this unusual time. 23.01.2022 Today 4/5M started the Stage 2 edible vegetable and herb garden. As part of our healthy eating unit students will get hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom environment and eat the herbs and veggies they’ve grown themselves at the end of the term. We have two Indigenous bush tucker plants staring in our garden: the Ruby Saltbush and Bush Basil. It’s vital that we share and teach Indigenous cultural knowledge of such an enriching culture that has existed since before recorded history. We need to all become caretakers.

21.01.2022 On Tuesday, Stage 3 experienced an inkling of what miners felt as they worked on the goldfields in the 1850s. Life was tough! Although students couldn’t pan for gold, they fossicked for alluvial gold and some small gold nuggets. Students had to answer trivia questions in order to earn their license and were only allowed to fossick on their claim. Lots of fun was had by all and some struck it rich, deciding to trade their gold for SERFer tokens!
