02.01.2022 Visit to National Institute of Complimentary Medicine at Westmead - It was a pleasure to visit the NICM during the week and to get some insight into their integ...rative and complementary medicine research. Among other complementary medicines, NICM is focused on a range of long-established and traditional systems of healthcare such as Ayurvedic medicine Ayurveda is one of the world's oldest documented holistic healing systems. It was developed more than 3,000 years ago in India. Knowledge of Complementary medicine such as Ayurveda are also very fragile, they are never more than one generation from extinction so thank you to all who are involved in practicing, educating and spreading the awareness of this ancient knowledge. It was great to learn about related clinical trials and other research being undertaken by NICM/University of Western Sydney in this space. Thank you Dr. Dilip Ghosh, Professor Dennis Chang and Professor Alan Bensoussan for the invitation and all the work you are leading in complementary medicine.
