16.01.2022 The iconic Parkes radio telescope that famously broadcast the Apollo 11 moon landings in 1969 now has an Indigenous name Murriyang! To mark NAIDOC Week, Wiradjuri Elders gave the 64-metre telescope a traditional Wiradjuri language name that represents the ‘Skyworld’ where Biyaami (prominent creator spirit) lives.
