24.01.2022 Should be a great day tomorrow in Uralla! Bush breakfast early at Balala fire brigade shed, street parade in Uralla 11am from the library and Aust Day fun in Alma Park with Ambassador Bryce Collins; Welcome to Country, CWA damper, Friend of McMaughs tea & cakes, Rotary BBQ, face painting, jumping castle, merry-go-round, citizenship ceremony, thong throwing & lolly scramble. See you there!!

18.01.2022 Uralla Citizen of the Year Award presented to Kevin Ward (accepted by his son Andrew) for many years of outstanding contribution to the Uralla community. 14 years as elected member of Uralla Council, including term as Mayor, extensive involvement with Uralla golf club, Uralla rugby league club, Friends of McMaughs, secretary/manager of the Bowlo & originally came to Uralla as Aust Post Manager. Congratulations Kevin and thank you for all you have done to make Uralla the place it is today, you have been a mentor and shining light to many of us in the community.

04.01.2022 Aust Day celebrations, Sunday 26 January; the street procession commences 11am from Park St corner and walkers can join from the VIC. Expect to see New England Rods & Customs, Classic Cars, Antique Machinery, the Auto Club, Fire Brigades and new this year - the Tribute to Traders & Tradies. Uralla’s ambassador is local man Steve Widders. There will be awards ceremony, jumping castles, damper, BBQs, lolly scramble and thong throw. A wonderful community day to celebrate our diversity as Australians

01.01.2022 AUSTRALIA DAY 2020 SUNDAY, 26TH. JANUARY, 2020 Australia Day celebration activities will be held as follows:... Startting @ 11.00 a.m. STREET PROCESSION Along Bridge Street from Park Street corner to Alma Park, via Hill Street. Included in the parade will be Armidale Pipe Band, fire brigades, vintage machinery and cars, Tribute to Tradies, and the Australia Day Ambassador, Motivational Speaker, Steve Widders. DECORATED BIKE COMPETITION For children, with cash prizes for best bike decorated by a boy and best bike decorated by a girl. Bikes will take part in the procession for judging. ENTERTAINMENT Armidale Pipe Band. DECORATED WALKER COMPETITION Entrants assemble in front of rotunda. All persons with walkers invited to participate. OFFICIAL CEREMONY - In Alma Park Including flag raising, National Anthem, Australian Citizenship Ceremony, award presentations, and address by Ambassador, Steve Widders, sponsored by Australia Day Council of N.S.W. and National Australia Day Council. Also included in Official Ceremony will be the unveiling of the plaque naming the rotunda the Arnold David Goode Memorial Rotunda. THONG THROWING COMPETITION Boys, girls, ladies’ and men’s sections, with cash prizes and trophies. GUMBOOT THROWING COMPETITION LOLLY SCRAMBLE Barbeque, hot dogs, tea, coffee, damper, sandwiches, cakes, slices, drinks will be on sale, and a jumping castle, merry-go-round and face painting for children. COME ALONG AND HELP CELEBRATE OUR AUSTRALIA DAY ***************************
