20.01.2022 As some of you might be aware there are some major changes to student visas from 1 July. The Immigration website has just been updated: https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Stud/changes-student-visa

07.01.2022 The Department will undertake system maintenance on its electronic systems between Thursday 7pm 30 June and Friday 9 am 1 July 2016 AEST. You are advised to lodge urgent applications on Thursday by: 7 pm - Australian Eastern Standard Time zones.... 6.30 pm - South Australia and the Northern Territory 5pm - Western Australia A completed visa application submitted online to the Department is not lodged until any associated visa application charge is also received by the Department. The following systems will also be unavailable during the maintenance activities: - ImmiAccount - eLodgement (Online visa and citizenship applications) - Visa Entitlement Verification Online (VEVO) - Visa pricing estimator If you receive a ‘Service Temporarily Unavailable’ error message during this time, try again after the outage period. Student applications The student visa application form will change from 12 am AEST 1 July 2016 to reflect new student visa subclasses. The Department will be unable to receive online applications between 7 pm AEST 30 June 2016 and 9 am AEST 1 July 2016 during the planned system maintenance activity. Applications for current student visa subclasses using the current application form should be submitted to the Department with payment (lodged) before 7 pm AEST on 30 June 2016. 02.01.2022 From 13th March Immigration started publishing monthly reports about current visa processing times. Such data was available previously, however it was rarely updated (roughly once a year).
