23.01.2022 Today is World Kindness Day World Kindness Day is an internationally-observed day of kindness that was started in 1998 by the World Kindness Movement. It is held on 13th November every year and has been a part of Australia's Federal School Calendar since 2012. World Kindness Day is all about acceptance, diversity and love. This is done by taking opportunities to perform acts of kindness towards others.... What will you do to make someone’s day extra special on #WorldKindnessDay ?

22.01.2022 This crocodile named Wiyapurali was created at Tiwi College Pickertaramoor, Melville Island. It tells the story of Wiyapurali from Cape Fourcroy, a man who was speared in the back and turned into a crocodile. It was made with papier-mâché by art teacher Adele Booth and painted by all students in the college with natural ochres and polymer acrylic paint. The spear was created and painted by Misman Kris, a student in yr 8 Junior Young Men class. Thankyou to Sister Anne who in...itiated the project and Lane Sladovich for her encouragement and Banita Ullungura and Yello Ullungura for sharing this culture story with the students. We hope the students of Tiwi College can help share the story of Wiyapurali with visitors to the Patakijiyali Museum at Wurrumiyanga. Reposted from Tiwi College
