Day 1 Australia Miyake Kai Before we established Australia Miyake Kai, we were called Australia Miyake Renshu Kai (around August 2012 - January 2013 if our memory is correct). Here are some photos when some Renshu Kai people visited Sydney to take an intensive WS by Tsumura Family first time in October 2012. TaikOZ organised this intensive and their practice venue was near Sydney Fish market. We remember that we enjoyed fresh seafood for lunch in the park everyday but it was hard to grab food with swollen finger. (Ayako smashed her point finger on the taiko) Almost all our members saw Tsumura’s Miyake taiko first time and got shocked and fell love with Miyake taiko... Miss playing taiko? This online workshop will help prepare you in building strength to play taiko again! From core muscle training, to lengthy air bachi exercises, I will share with you what I’ve been practicing at home to build my endurance for playing taiko. Day 1: Building PHYSICAL Strength Day 2: Building TECHNICAL Strength Looking forward to exercising with everyone! Shun Workshops 1. Building PHYSICAL Strength Tuesday 6 October 2. He later became a performing member for the professional troupe, Taiko Performing Arts Ensemble Kodo. He now resides back in his hometown in Aichi prefecture, specializing in the musical expression with taiko, shinobue bamboo flute, and traditional folk dances, as well as directing stage performances, composing pieces, and holding workshops in various locations. Shunichiro is also active in collaborating and networking with different artists, regardless of the genre, and has also been on long-run tours in different countries, counting over 500 theatre performances worldwide. 01.01.2022 6th Miyake Remote Session with 24 ppl from Melbourne, Sydney, Cairnd, Japan and NZ last night. We have been doing regular exercises for 2 months. So, we will try some new things from next week to get more muscle aches. We are always ready to go back to our normal practice anytime!
