25.01.2022 Great ready for Air Force’s 100th birthday in 2021

25.01.2022 Give this a try cadets!!!!

24.01.2022 For over 80 years, cadets of the Australian Air League have taken part and assisted in ANZAC Day Dawn Services and Parades across Australia. The Australian Air ...League was founded in 1934 by Mr George Robey who was himself one of the original ANZACs, and a veteran of the Gallipoli Landing. Whilst the current COVID situation prevents Australians gathering together, we are proud to take part in Light Up the Dawn this coming ANZAC Day. Our thanks go to the Cadets and Officers, and their parents who helped to make this video possible.

24.01.2022 A number of our cadets have been successful applying for RAAus Scholarship in the past. South Australia Group has a scholarship scheme and you can get more information from your OC. This doesn’t mean you can’t apply to RAAus for a scholarship as well. I encourage our older cadets to look into this. Regards LtComr Ball

22.01.2022 This is very clever

21.01.2022 Look at this technology. Air Force way to go.

20.01.2022 Some photos from a previous trip to Woomera. A favorite is the Woomera Cinema. Photo does not do the mosaic justice. The symbol of a human reaching for the stars done in shiny tessellated tiles is really something to behold. Tucked out back are the old carbon arc projectors and costumes from theatre shows last century. Lots to see - a fascinating part of our history.

20.01.2022 This will be very interesting.

17.01.2022 Awesome result.

17.01.2022 In Woomera for work and could not resist taking a "selfie" in front of "Shayn from Gawler Sqn" favorite aircraft - The Canberra. Rest of the rocket park is undergoing bit of a repaint and looking good! Missing Squadron nights, hopefully will not be too long. Stay safe. Cheers, Mark

16.01.2022 Check out the great artwork from our Junior Cadets!

16.01.2022 Watch this cadets.

16.01.2022 Fabulous looking aircraft. We may start to see these in the skies above Edinburgh.

15.01.2022 Squadron Meetings to Commence In TERM 3. Dear South Australia Group, With the relaxations of COVID-19 restrictions here in South Australia we are now able to plan future Squadron Meetings. ... The Council of South Australia Group has decided that Squadrons will return at the beginning of Term 3, the week of 20 Jul 20. This is fantastic news. Each Squadron OC has some actions to complete and there will be some new procedures at each of our venues to reflect the restrictions that are still in place such as social distancing and the maximum number of people in rooms. Each Squadron is different and OCs will write to you via email with further details. Thank you to everyone for their patience and participation in the Virtual Squadron meeting which will continue to the end of Term 2. I look forward to seeing you in Term 3. Regards Martin Ball LtComr

11.01.2022 Hey Cadets. Some activities for you.

11.01.2022 SAG 2020 Flying Scholarship Program Open. Since 2014 SAG has awarded approximately 12 flying scholarships to cadets aged 15 years or older on 1 Jun 20. Each scholarship is valued at $1000 and Council expect a further two scholarships to be awarded this year. The application process is detailed in a memo that has been provided to your OCs.... Closing Date for applications is 28 Aug 20. Speak to your OC if you are interested and he will provide you with details on the application process. With Squadron Meetings returning at this stage in the week of 20 Jul 20, you will have time to talk to your officers before the closing date. This is a fantastic opportunity for our older cadets. Good luck if you decide to apply. Regards Martin Ball LtComr Exec Gp Comr SAG AAL

10.01.2022 Happy Birthday RAAF. This is a great video.

04.01.2022 South Australia Group holding Virtual Squadrons All three SA Squadrons are holding Virtual Squadron meetings now. A big thanks to the organisers and to the cadets who are participating. The aim of these meetings is to stay in touch with each other during the period where we cannot meet as we once did. We don’t know when Real Squadron Meetings will be able to be resumed. We will resume ASAP in accordance with government guidelines and Air League policy. ... Regards Martin
