24.01.2022 Australian Certified Winches have been involved in the marine industry for over 25 years. We are not only involved in winch design and manufacture, we have experience in designing and building cutter suction dredgers, workboats and pontoons for various applications. We design and manufacture the equipment in house to all applicable standard providing full installation and maintenance services throughout Australia and South East Asia. We are familiar with all local and interna...tional standards including Lloyds register, DNV, ABS, AMS. All of our equipment is built to the highest quality standard and can be Class certified where required. When building a marine winch, our focus is to craft a winch that will withstand the harsh marine environment. This involves the use of stainless steel wherever possible, shafts, covers and fasteners. A great example of this is one of our recent projects where we have built winches entirely from 316 Stainless steel created for certain applications.

22.01.2022 Our machine shop, fabrication and assembly cells were busy preparing deliveries before Christmas and building stock for the New Year. The blue Capstan motor-driven Hydraulic Winch, was freighted to Western Australia on time. Also, the two gearbox-driven spindles on the pallet were deliverd locally. The two large fabrications are to be coated locally ready for assembly. Material on the pallets on the floor, plus on the shelves have been machined and or programmed into production for 2021.

19.01.2022 We have moved! Check out our new Gold Coast manufacturing facility at 2/14 Freight Street Yatala, Queensland. At just under 1000 m sq under roof with a full coverage 10 Tonne overhead crane plus 500 m sq secure hardstand we can build these larger winches with ease.... In the photo you can see some of our current projects, a few dual rope 5 and 10 Tonne winches with grooved drums plus a few smaller 5 Tonne single rope units. We don't only manufacture winches, we are also a General and Heavy Engineering workshop open to any industry. 11.01.2022 ACW delivery on time, everytime; continues by eliminating bottlencks, improving efficiency and improving quality at the source. The addition to our machinery work-cell of a horizontal borer, complete with a digital read-out and the fitting of another digital read-out to our large lathe, has enabled us to machine to finer tolerances. This enables marked improvement to fitting at our assembly station and improved quality of product for our customers. The 11.5 tonne winch manufa...ctured and ready for testing as well as various other components and stock materials in various stages of production are shown in the pictures. These include orders for shipping to Indonesia. Australian Certified Winches has moved to a larger premises, still in Yatala at Unit 2/14 Freight Street. 11.01.2022 Winches have been around since the early days of civilization, they have played an unseen but huge role in the world as we know it today. From the construction of Castles, Mining, Cathedrals and High rise buildings. In todays world winches & capstans are the driving force behind elevators, diving cages, hoisting winches in cranes, pulling winches in shunting & shipyards. Winches keep the world on the move as we know it.... Here at Australian Certified Winches, we pride ourselves on our high standards & commitment to completing every job with high attention to detail. Director, Grant Barrett has 25 years experience in designing and building industrial winches and has built and certified winches to the below standards as a minimum. 02.01.2022 The new premises at Yatala has given us the opportunity to set up three main dedicated Work Cells. The first image is the Fabrication Area for our winch frames and related components. The second image is the Machining Cell. Parts that are completed are stored on shelves ready to go to assembly. The next image is the Assembly Area. Pictured is an order of Electric Luffing Winches for Indonesia. Below that are various Winch Drums to have drive and cheek plates bolted or welde...d on. More images are of machined components on the shelf and larger Luffing Winches in the Assembly Cell. The large fabrication with winch ropes and weights attached is our Testing Facility. All winches are tested to Australian or International Standards, customer requirements and specifications.

01.01.2022 Enjoying our break..... Doing absolutely nothing ahhh
