25.01.2022 Brenton, do ya think we might see something like this for Masters TeamGym "floor" routine .. not quite sure which requirement it meets, but I guess I could use it as a "transition" element at the least, or pausing between elements could constitute a balance ??

23.01.2022 Update 30/08/2019: - entry numbers going strong, - slight changes to judging guidance e.g. few skills more aligned with GA CoP values. see link. -Podium Training: Friday 6:30-9:30 .. might cost a little, and might request you register .. stand by for details (also likely option for those in town on Wed to train with Adelaide Uni. - TeamGym: likely mainly an Intermediate Challenge (based on entries so far), but able to perform beginner or Advanced skills.... Official email to all entrants coming out soon. Link to official documentation, and any ongoing releases. https://drive.google.com//19i9FcZrVZJPa3DipaqFiLMcj6cMc5AnY

21.01.2022 Entry Form Has gone Online .. just madly fixing a few quirks e.g. rings not offered, ... Enter if you like, it won't make much difference, and we can follow up with those that enter before all corrections made. BUT this will be the 1st place that knows I'm Happy with the Process :-P

17.01.2022 AMG Gymnastics: - Gymsports Desired Poll, - Date/s Poll, - Format Poll Head over to this fb group to express your thoughts/desires :-)

17.01.2022 Congratulations Melbourne Gymnastics Club (formerly Wesley), the supper judges who enable these events to happen, and all you Athletes who talked yourselves into having a go .. Looks like you had a blast. KEEP TRAINING

17.01.2022 Oh B..! I'll have to come up with another Excuse. Looking forward to competing with you Laura .. Lets Do This!! (Bruce). https://www.themercury.com.au//b2a1b4a631d4004fab3510bd78d

14.01.2022 Yep, and KNOX is the "Team to Beat" in 2019. If SA can't pull; that off on their own turf there is something wrong!!! Do I need to be able to do Giants to beat you Andrew .. that might be raising the bar just a little too high .. but I can dream for the moment .. I'll let ya know how I go :-P (un-official, I recon it will be on Sat Arvo 12th October ... will let you know as soon as I hear).

11.01.2022 ......... WE HAVE A COMPETITION ............. With those numbers, there has to be someone as good, or as bad as you ;-) ... So, enter if you haven't, book some accommodation, and think about some training.

11.01.2022 Another way perhaps to get back to the corner, if ya get lost in your routine (more common than you would imagine in "Masters Routines":

10.01.2022 Afternoon Session - TEAMGYM What is it I've been asked? (sorry to those who were forced to click "yes" to TeamGym option in the online registration system before they could proceed with form .good way to force buy in ;-)... I recon Ben does a good overview in the linked video. This Masters event will be based around GA TeamGym Handbook (link below), but modify to suit the number of participants and experience. i.e We will: -have a workshop pre-challenge to allow those new and entering "Team On The Day" to have a rehearsal/think with their new team members (4 - x). - conduct it based on "Intermediate" skills, allowing beginner and Advanced skills (but likely advanced not counted as a bonus). - music optional - Ribbons for each team member - "Gold", "Silver" or "Bronze". Basically, there are three apparatus performed as a team: Minitramp, Tumble/air track, and Floor/Acro. TeamGym is designed to have a variety of abilities (great for inclusion)! 08.01.2022 DON'T BE LAST, GET YOUR ENTRIES IN, LETS BLAST TASMANIA'S 2017 RECORD OUT THE WATER :-P - as one of the volunteer event organisers one gets some very interesting questions, some if telling one person should be share with all. Some are better not answered e.g "How many competing against me" .. that is revealed a week or so before event when "rotations" are published. - "Blue = 2017", Orange = 2019 entries so far .. lets see if we can beat NZ 2019 AMG incredible 70+ .. remember, safety in numbers, talk someone else into entering. - no excuses, lots of local Masters coming up to feel the water.

08.01.2022 Hi Fellow Old Gymnasts, To Create the Best Possible Masters Event In SA this year it would be good to see what our collective opinions are on several matters, to potentially influence the format, date, etc. e.g Learn for Tasmanian Experience or perhaps other successful event recently (Knox, Wesley, Gladstone, CLubs ..). Standby .. I'll set a few questions in the next few hours .. feel free to add any more thoughts/topics. Message, email [email protected], 0422148206 if you'd rather just chat :-)

08.01.2022 AMG IS COMING TO ADELAIDE !! ............ ARE YOU?? ............ Enter Here: https://www.australianmastersgames.com/ Any Question? via fb or [email protected] or ..

01.01.2022 We Have Awoken :-) I was invited to discuss AMG Gymnastics 12th Oct 2019 with GSA yesterday. The staff are very receptive to ideas on how to make this event the best one ever since last in Adelaide in 2015. I have now got the draft proposal for event details etc and about to HACK, incorporating as many improvements as possible based on feedback in the last two years on various pages and emails (thanks everyone, ...Knox, Maffra, Gladstone etc). My intent is unless there are si...gnificant screams, to create an event similar to Tasmania 2017 (in Morning), with slight variations + Teamgym Option in Afternoon * Age Divisions Tuned based on entrant spread. * Novice/Open Division .. approx level 4 or lower MAG/WAG skills. * MASTER Division .. approx Level 5 MAG/WAG skills or greater. - it would have perhaps been nice to embrace the MAG ALP Masters Rules, but since no WAG equiv, and time factors, likely will stick with 2017 AMG Requirements and Judging criteria, with some small tweaks for extra clarity, and a few more examples. * Unisex Apparatus awards (all MAG & WAG apparatus, open to male and female competitors, likely max of 8 apparatus per entrant). * MAG & WAG All Around Awards - true best Male & Female in their age group, in their Open/Masters divisions on all their traditional MAG/WAG apparatus (6 or 4 apparatus to count). *No Minitramp or Trampoline in Morning MAG/WAG Comp. -also would need significant interest right now to include Tramp in the afternoon .. don't really have a comp standard tramp at venue :-( * TeamGym Comp /Workshop (Afternoon): For those who want to join in the fun, do a bit of mini tramp, tumble track and floor/acro in the afternoon, but don't have a team, we possibly will offer the option of "I'd like to be placed in a "Beginner", Intermediate or Advanced Team" for the afternoon session. Due to the ad-hoc nature of such team formation, we would likely have a workshop/Comp combined activity .. Subject to SA Teamgym experts, and the number of teams registering. This will likely take a couple of weeks to smash into shape: Comments Welcome, AND go have a SWING, develop a routine that is fun to perform, and let's worry about how to get max point as soon as we can provide you with greater detail :-) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E0LQhOTDlEg

01.01.2022 .. sing out if you've got any questions :-)
