At the end of 2019, the current committee of the Victorian branch of the Australian Science Communicators stepped down and the hunt for a new committee is on! If you're interested in being involved, please email outgoing President, Lynette Plenderleith at [email protected]... #committee #scicomm #sciencecommunication #science #melbourneevents #asc #ascvic #melbournescience #scientists #scientistsofinstagram #Melbourne #Victoria #scientistsofmelbourne #sciencecommunicatorsofmelbourne #sciencestories #sciencecommunity #research #eventhost #outreach #STEM

03.01.2022 Pint of Science is looking for an enthusiastic volunteer who can help coordinate the festival in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. They would like to find someone who can travel to meetings in the city (every 2-3 weeks) over the next 3 months (the festival is on May, 11th, 12th, 13th) and help with tasks such as venue selection, speaker recruitment, program curation, distribution of promotional materials, venue management on all three nights (leading a small team of voluntee...rs, liaising with venue, speakers and MCs, reporting). Expected time commitment in the couple of months leading up to the festival = 3 hours a week and in the couple of weeks before the festival = 5 to 8 hours a week. This is a volunteer position, which offers good networking opportunities and project management experience. Please email Elodie Camprasse at [email protected] for any enquiries and to express interest.
