23.01.2022 Theres 3 types of internal roller blinds as far as benefits go and they each have a different purpose. Block out blinds (or black out as some call them) have 2 main benefits that Im certain youre all aware of but they are: They fully block out the sun making the room darker, not as hot and give you full privacy. Although this is the case, they will never be as effective to block out the heat as a blind on the exterior of the house (such as a canvas or mesh awning).... They also help to keep the heat in. Obviously if you have no window coverings at all, the cold coming directly off your windows will be counteracting the job your poor heater is trying to do. Although block out blinds do help a lot as far as keeping your house warmer, they wont be as effective as heavy drapes. Obviously theres a huge price difference in the 2 products which is why block out roller blinds are quite popular. The next type of roller blind is called a translucent blind. These are unbacked, slightly more cost effective and are very aesthetically pleasing. They dont offer the same sun or cold protection as block out blinds and are not quite as popular but they really do give a fantastic modern look. The third roller blind has become extremely popular in the last 5-10 years and thats called a sunscreen blind. The idea of the sunscreen (or sheer) blind is to purely give privacy during the day but allow you to look outside as well as let in some light. These blinds are also not ideal for keeping the heat in or out and are generally used for the privacy factor. They can be used on the same window as the Blockout blind to which they are often referred to as day/night blinds. If youre in the market for internal blinds and werent 100% sure on what you were going to chose, hopefully I have helped in your decision making process. 22.01.2022 Firstly, Id like to say thank you to all my loyal and wonderful customers. Without you, Id be nothing and nowhere. Unfortunately I have to leave you for a little while. Im moving to the big smoke to have a little dabble at growing my business on the wholesale side.
