18.01.2022 The Australian Web Industry Association (AWIA) is pleased to announce the appointment of its first ever woman Chair, Dr Marion Piper. Dr Piper is a copywriter and creativity coach who began her directorship in early 2019. She is excited to continue to build on the strong legacy of AWIA and see it become the peak body advocating for the web industry, agencies, freelancers, contractors and in-house digital teams. AWIA would like to formally thank retiring Chair, James Deck, for his efforts and leadership. Mr Deck is a Director of Queensland-based Internet marketing and digital innovation agency Clevvi. Mr Deck remains a Director of AWIA and will serve on the executive as Treasurer. We look forward to his continued contributions to the organisation.
