25.01.2022 Wow! We arranged a private helicopter flight for clients to fly from Esperance (Western Australia) out to Middle Island, land there, walk around spectacularly pink Lake Hillier (pictured), enjoy a picnic lunch by the lake, then fly back to Esperance. They were delighted - you can see why!!

20.01.2022 Who is that emu I see, staring straight back at me? Here you can see a male emu leading his young across a salt lake in the Australian outback. Male emus are... dedicated dads. Emus go through summer lovin' in the warmer summer months. They'll get together then to breed in the cooler months. These shorter and cooler days depress the male's appetite to encourage hormone changes and stimulate breeding. Once the female lays her eggs, she leaves. The male will sit on the eggs for the entire 8-week incubation period until they hatch. He doesn't eat or drink during this time - just lives off his fat supplies and dew on nearby grass. He'll also only stand up to turn the eggs, which is done 10-12 times a day. Emu dads also stay to look after the chicks for almost 18 months. He leads them to feeding areas and shows them what to eat. : christianspencerphoto (IG)
