25.01.2022 The important thing to remember about challenging customers is that it is not about you - it is random that you answered their call and not your fault if they are having a bad day. Try not to react. Don't accept abuse - keep the conversation professional. Take control and bring it around to what you CAN do to help. Being empathetic doesn't mean that you have to apologise for something that is not your fault. Even the most upset callers will know this deep down but they won't stop until you acknowledge them so that they know that you HEARD.

24.01.2022 NSW is opening up. More freedom for vaccinated people, more risk for those who are still unvaccinated. Vaccine supply has improved so you have more options: * The Moderna vaccine is available for people aged 12-59 and is available in pharmacies. * The Pfizer vaccine is available for people aged 12-59 and is available in pharmacies, GPs, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and NSW Health vaccination clinics. * The AstraZeneca vaccine is available for pe...ople aged 18+ and is available in pharmacies, GPs, Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Services and NSW Health vaccination clinics. The vaccine finder can help you locate a provider in your local area OR call 1800 020 080. https://covid-vaccine.healthdirect.gov.au/eligibility

24.01.2022 Unfortunately this skill is needed at home and at work these days.

24.01.2022 This is the kind of thing that can happen when some people are unvaccinated. We’re all in this together. Moderna being rolled out in (from memory) 1600 pharmacies from this week. It’s getting easier to arrange.

23.01.2022 Arm yourself - it’s a fail... Problematic message for extremists. Doesn’t pass the risk test. Don’t you advertise when you’ve sorted supply? Is death a great CTA for youth? But some evidence it worked- people set up morgues in local areas overseas in ads but here we had to manufacture fear... the jury is still out but @$91million: this is your tax dollars at work!

23.01.2022 Brilliant makes so much sense. I once heard that signers can add loads of nuance this explains how

22.01.2022 More good news. Hang in there peeps

22.01.2022 Now more than ever it is important to have some virtual communications set up to back up your business. We can help. https://www.smartcompany.com.au//melbourne-worker-permits/

21.01.2022 Some good news - https://www.smartcompany.com.au//nbn-upgrade-fibre-to-th/

21.01.2022 Don’t put it off and don’t wait too long. Get vaccinated- we are lucky we can do this. In Africa variants are evolving and some places only have 3% vaccinated.

21.01.2022 More support for business and workers. https://www.smartcompany.com.au//jobkeeper-jobseeker-cha/

20.01.2022 Not great but convenient. This might be what Covid normal looks like

19.01.2022 A conversation at home sparked this but I think it applies at equally home and at work.

19.01.2022 Well we in business in NSW have waited with bated breath for some guidance from NSW Government and how here is some, albeit after the phase 1 reopening date. Does everyone know how to get their vaccination certificate? There is a PDF for that, too. If you have worked out the ServiceNSW app there are also links in there to get advice, find a COVID testing centre, display a vaccine vertificate, recent alerts, get support (business or individual) and book a vacccination plus current RULES. We've heard reports that people can link their vaccination status to the Vic app but this function is still in trials in NSW.

19.01.2022 There was some talk about this not being spam because it was political. However it is always uncool, or at least impolite, to engage in pushing one way communication like this. People 1; Polly 0.

18.01.2022 https://www.smartcompany.com.au//coronavirus-victoria-fi/ Brave New World for businesses.

17.01.2022 https://www.dhhs.vic.gov.au//coronavirus-covid-19/how-safe Worth perfecting the technique as Wollongong City invites customer facing staff to consider wearing a mask. Support workers for disability and home care are sporting these now too.

17.01.2022 Some commentators on ABC TV's Insiders program have described NSW as the engine of the Australian economy, and Western Sydney in turn the engine room of Sydney. As NSW sets the pace for reopening we all look on through our own lens. Meanwhile the Disability Royal Commission says that it is unconscionable to lift lock downs before people with a disability have had the "opportunity to be fully vaccinated". One certainly cannot manage the personal and business risks without monitoring the situation closely.

16.01.2022 Something to look forward to? https://www.abc.net.au//international-travel-au/100507722

12.01.2022 This book is a must-read!

12.01.2022 Fascinating approach. Byron Shire tried this last year with great success. Deliberative democracy avoids getting bogged down in "sides" to arrive at best possible solutions with limited resources. https://iap2.org.au/ne/deliberation-beyond-citizens-juries/

12.01.2022 NSW Health is finalising its advice to the government on guidelines for businesses. (But change is still coming very soon.) https://www.9news.com.au//67808b5e-7f14-4078-8512-b8522707

11.01.2022 What does the roadmap out of lockdown look like for NSW? Key dates: Phase 1 - October 11. Phase 2: 18-25th October. Phase 3 - 1 December. Ready or not, it's coming. https://www.theguardian.com//nsw-covid-roadmap-explained-w

11.01.2022 As seen on ABCTV last night. App developed by Curtin Uni for schools saving them thousands. Now available to homes @$5/month or $30/year. Business app coming. Cheaper and easier than getting consultants in to meet arcane standards.

07.01.2022 Pfizer and Moderna available to over 60s - why wait?

07.01.2022 "People post to social media sites 24 hours a day, seven days a week so if our contact centre is only open from 9am to 5pm, we have a slight logistical issue." - VERY TRUE. If you have a Live Call Answering Service or more with us, we can help with this!

05.01.2022 It’s the new normal for reception. I doubt we will ever go back to sharing pens.

05.01.2022 Emotional Intelligence is needed in everything we do, not just contact centre work. https://www.callcentrehelper.com/podcast-emotional-intellig

04.01.2022 Emotional intelligence is always useful whatever you are doing - at home, at work with friends. This post shows it in a couple of ways. In training we might refer to "Call Control" but it is also more satisfying to know your stuff when talking to customers as it puts YOU in a good light and it is also REASSURING FOR THEM! Worth reading - https://www.callcentrehelper.com/customer-engagement-strate

04.01.2022 Sobering news. Jacinda Adern is using Victoria as a timely warning to Kiwis to stay responsible and safe. https://www.facebook.com/jacindaardern/videos/595301691422106/

03.01.2022 We agree - our clients are asking us to implement some interesting new services. We have a real role in quality assurance and incident coordination that can be set up and scheduled like clock-work.
