25.01.2022 The 2022 Australian Deaf Games Organising Committee are seeking a committed person to fill the role of Registration & Accreditation Coordinator. The role is voluntary although related expenses may be reimbursed. Accommodation will be provided during the Games if needed. The tasks and responsibilities performed by the Registration and Accreditation Coordinator are:... - Participate in GOC meetings; - Report to the GOC Chairperson; - Plan and administrate the Games registrations, event registrations and accreditations; - Coordinate online registration including payment process with online registration platform provider; - Manage, oversee and facilitate booking processes, booking issues and reporting; - Manage manual registration process and data share with online system; - Respond and address to registration issues made by Games participants; - Liaise closely with registration online platform provider to ensure GOC requirements are met; - Manage the daily Registration and Accreditation requirements during the Games; - Provide monthly portfolio reporting of registration data with breakdown of relevant data including sports and state/territory/overseas entries; - Update relevant documents including information in Games Manual as required; - Compile Registration and Accreditation final report to GOC chair for post-Games wrap requirements; - Liaise closely with GOC chair and DSA staff as required; - Participation in all GOC and related meetings. The role starts now until 30th June 2022 The ideal candidate for the position of Registration and Accreditation Coordinator will have the following skills and experience: Proven Sport or major event experience. Good computer and database management experience. An understanding of and experience in event accreditation planning and management. Excellent interpersonal skills. Good budget management skills. The Registration and Accreditation Co-ordinator shall hand over to the GOC Chairperson all relevant material, files / data accumulated at the completion of the Games for archival purposes. Double demerit points are in full effect this weekend, so take advantage of the shuttle buses by avoiding drink driving - we dont want to see anyone lose their licence after the Closing Ceremony ;) Share this with your family and friends who are going to the Closing Ceremony.

Along with New South Wales Deaf Sports - NSWDS, Deaf Sports Australia are very excited to be working closely with Newcastle City Council, Lake Macquarie City Council, and Destination NSW to deliver an exciting sports and cultural program for Deaf and hard of hearing people in Australia. The 2022 Australian Deaf Games will be held in April 2022, however exact dates are yet to be confirmed.... To learn more, please read the official media release below.
