22.01.2022 WIFT Australia presents via the Raising Films Australia’s initiative, the Making It Possible Program. The program is a free two-day course with follow-up mentorship, to be held in Parramatta, NSW for screen practitioners living in Sydney with a minimum number of places reserved for Western Sydney practitioners. The Making It Possible Program is specifically designed to address the needs of parents and carers who are returning to work after a career break or who are workin...g alongside caring responsibilities but feel stuck and unable to move forward towards their goals. The program is being delivered in partnership with Screenworks, Information and Cultural Exchange (ICE), Creative Plus Business and funding from Screen NSW and the City of Sydney The call out for Parramatta is now open with places available for up to 15 participants in each course location. The program provides bespoke career development opportunities to two early-career directors living in regional NSW. It is designed to increase the participating directors’ skills and industry experience by supporting a tailor-made career plan and providing relevant screen ind...ustry introductions, that will ultimately assist the participating directors to build viable and successful careers.
