15.01.2022 We see this all to often. Our children being lost in house fires. If you read the article you will see an all to disturbing fact "The house was not fitted with smoke alarms". All we are trying to do is help educate the public as to the destructive nature of house fire and to make sure you understand the legislation in your specific State or territory and to aim for optimal protection for you and your family at the very least have something. 14.01.2022 After my 3 Fire Safety checks yesterday I was astounded to find out that out all 3 NONE had the correct fire protection and NONE had any idea of the seriousness of that. One young couple, a nurse and a FIFO worker had purchased their home 4 months ago and their smoke alarms ( 6 of them) were in a big pile on the kitchen bench the day they moved in. When they went to put the batteries in they false alarmed fo were placed in a cupboard. Happy to say after yesterday there are more homes protected. 10.01.2022 So sad to hear of the loss of life in Tweed Heads. Only a month ago AHFS were in this exact area doing aFire Safety Awareness campaign with a view to education folks on the ever real dangers and misconceptions about house fires. Although we managed to speak to and protect some families we were far from seeing everyone. This tragedy we see far too often and can be minimised by being more aware about the dangers of home fires. Prevent, Prepare and escape.
