22.01.2022 In these troubling times, remember the days without social distancing. I have made it back to Australia where I will be self-isolating on the hunting property for at least 2 weeks. Northern Territory has gone into lockdown and everyone entering must "Shelter at home" for two weeks after arrival and are not allowed to leave. This will give me plenty of time to start preparations for the 2020 hunting season. As for the 2020 Hunting season with Australian Outfitters by Andrew... Mackay, we are preparing to continue the season as scheduled. I know many of you are concerned about quarantines, flights and travel plans. I encourage you to not make any rash decisions at this time.

20.01.2022 We need to address the effect this Pandemic is having on our business.There was no way to foresee this tragedy. So we will try and manage this the best way we can. As for the 2020 Hunting season with Australian Outfitters by Andrew Mackay, we are preparing to continue the season as scheduled. Since our hunts are booked for June and July: If the world does not have a handle on the Pandemic by middle May we will re-evaluate the entire situation If you have not booked airfare yet, please hold of until we have more certainty on when the coast will be clear We will be sure to notify you if there are any changes in circumstances. Please remain calm, stay safe and work with us to get the best possible results from this trying time.

13.01.2022 We will miss seeing everyone at Safari Club International - SCI convention this year. This is usually the season when we get to connect with old friends and make new friends. This year the convention scene is much different, going virtual for most venues. Though we will not see you in person, please stay safe. We look forward to the next year!

13.01.2022 2020 was a crazy year. COVID shut many businesses down and changed travel and the hunting industry. Amidst the 2020 shutdowns and craziness, the year threw another curve ball at the Australian Outfitters by Andrew Mackay team. Our wonderful friend and partner, Lora Gene Young of GypsyNomad Hunting was diagnosed with breast cancer in September. She has been undergoing Chemotherapy since the end of September. It has been a shock to us all for such a young and healthy person to be diagnosed with cancer, but she is staying strong and fighting the battle.

06.01.2022 #baldisbeautiful Growing up my preacher, who went bald at 19, had that phrase in the church office. I always thought is was funny. Of course bald is beautiful.... All old mean are bald, totally cool. And some young men are bald, rockstars. I never considered being young and bald and female. When I found out I would lose my hair with chemo, I was devastated. My long, beautiful hair... Gone. It was a part of me, it defined me. To make it less extreme of a loss, one week after my first chemo, I cut it short. And when it started falling out, I cut it again. It was my version of control. But I was not in control. My short, rock star PINK style hair was still thinning. I tried to hang on to the rocker vibe. My hair made me strong, right? Eventually rocker looked more like an old man comb-over. A pathetic attempt at denying the inevitable. Finally the razor came out. The scraggly attempt at normalcy and control was over. My strength is not in my hair. I am not Sampson. I have been my own Delilah. I cut the hair, I felt the pain, the loss, the weakness, but in the weakness and loss I found strength.
