14.01.2022 Grevillea montana - The Hunter Valley Grevillea This Grevillea is endemic to the southern side of the Hunter Valley from around Kurri Kurri through to Denman. It is a shrub to around 1.5 m with red and green flowers that the small honeyeaters like. The forms found further west tend towards yellow instead of red.

13.01.2022 Burrendong Arboretum - if you are in the central west (near Wellington) it is well worth a visit. Many of the plants growing here will also grow well in the Hunter Valley particularly away from the more humid coastal areas. They also have a nursery where some interesting plant tubestock can be purchased.
