Legal contracts are just that and a government should not have the power to simply make a law which destroys that legal contract. If the ALP government in W.A. succeeds in walking away from this legal contract, then every Government contract issued to any Company falls in danger of some government in the future walking away from their obligation. Why has not the LNP opposition questioned this illegal process? Why has the LNP opposition sat quietly while the ALP government passed this illegal law through the parliament? 15.01.2022 No matter who is pushing the GST agenda. A tax is still a tax. Why would any non government/public servant want an increase in any tax??????... Those pushing this agenda will talk about services you like? BUT you could also link this to things you don not like. e.g. public service salaries/commissions/entitlements/unfair pension funds.............the list is endless. People must understand a tax is paid by the people; not the politicians who push them. 11.01.2022 As troublesome the US election corruption is, I concern myself with Australian election systems. If there is a lesson coming from the US mess, surely, we should... stop mail-in and prepoll voting and upgrade the security/identification of every voter. Photographic/signature checking to electoral register data should be compulsory. Either driver license/passport or registered electoral identification .. etc checked like a passport is checked in customs should be part of this new system. We know there are some errors in the current electoral roll with deceased people . etc still on the roll We don’t want to add to these electoral errors with the added corruption seen in the US Additionally rather than continuing with this pencil and paper voting document; it s could be upgraded at the electoral level to include computerised voting which would ( with the right security attached) give us immediate results and eliminate all questionable voting abnormalities mentioned.
