13.01.2022 A milestone has been met at Finley Solar Farm. Developed by ESCO Pacific Pty Ltd, who is managing construction of the solar farm on behalf of owner John Laing, the solar farm will produce enough energy to power 59,000 NSW homes, displacing over 400,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually. 12.01.2022 TRIALS of a solar energy plant in Charleville have run out of steam, with technical difficulties preventing any future development. Vast Solar has announced it will cease operation of its test sites east of town, after running into unsolvable issues connecting to the local electricity grid. "Vast Solar will not be proceeding with the development of its 30-megawatt concentrated solar power reference plant near Charleville, Vast Solar CEO Craig Wood said.... "Despite its excellent solar resource, it has become clear that the grid near Charleville does not have the strength to support a turbine of that size, nor does it have the capacity to export sufficient power to Roma.
