22.01.2022 Spirulina Fact! Did you know that the drying method has a huge impact on the resulting quality of the final product? Our Spirulina powder is created using an advanced multimillion $ patented spray drying system.... Using this unique patented system we are able to remove almost 100% of all moisture from the harvested algae in less than 10 seconds. This short processing period minimises the Spirulinas loss of nutrients and retains almost all of its natural goodness. Many companies do not make use of such a machine and opt for the cheapest method e.g sun-drying their Spirulina or making use of heating elements. This allows them to keep their prices low. However, long term exposure to air and heat not only destroys a large amount of the natural enzymes, pigments and vitamins, it also leaves the product more susceptible to contamination. As a result, a single one of our tablets contains significantly higher nutritional value compared to a same size tablet created from other drying methods. 22.01.2022 Spirulina? Blue-green algae? Pond scum? Super-food of the future? Miracle of the sea? Spirulina is a natural algae and vegan source of proteins, vitamins and minerals. Its nutritional profile is so remarkable that NASA began looking into it as a potential food source of space travel and settlement of space stations! 21.01.2022 As you may have already heard, from 1st July 2018 onward, all food products will need to comply with the new labelling standard. All products for human consumption are categorised as food, Spirulina as a food type supplement (not medicine) will no doubt also be classed as such. What the new labelling law means:... 1. Food products sold in Australia must clearly show what percentage of Australian ingredients was used on the indicator bar under triangle Australia made logo. The indicator bar and explanatory text must accompany the triangle logo. 2. No longer allowed to use Australian Owned under the Australia made triangle logo. You may see lots of Spirulina products still using the stand alone logo without the bar and or using the text Australia owned under Australia made logo. This will not be legal after 1 Jul 2018. Attached below are some examples of incorrect label usages and what to watch out for! Help spread the word! *Images all courtesy of australianmade.com.au and Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. See more

19.01.2022 Spirulina is very sensitive to pollutants and can be used as a biosensor for water toxicity. Unfortunately this means Spirulina grown in these environments can accumulate high concentrations of heavy metals. Al-Dhabi (2013) from King Saud University published an article in the Saudi Journal of Biological Sciences and found that our Australian Spirulina has by far THE LEAST AMOUNT OF HEAVY METAL CONCENTRATIONS IN THE WORLD! We have the most pure Spirulina for human consumptio...n in the world! Of course! We grow our Australian Spirulina in the best pollution-free environment, using 20,000 year old mineral water from Berry Springs in NT!! 18.01.2022 Mum always told me to eat my greens... the greener the better right?? The World Health Organisation (WHO) uses Spirulina to help malnourished children around the world! Spirualina contains:... > Rich vegetable proteins and amino acids (up to 3-4 times more than fish or beef!) > Multivitamins which are commonly lacking in in a vegetarian/vegan diet (up to 3-4 times higher than animal liver) > A wide range of minerals (including Iron, Potassium, Magnesium Sodium, Phosphorus, Calcium, etc) > high Beta-carotene which protects cells (5 time more than carrots, and 40 time more than spinach) > high gamma-Linolein acid, which can reduce cholesterol and prevent heart disease > anti-oxidant Phycocyanin (only found in Spirulina) And the list goes on!!
