24.01.2022 if you know what this is if you don't.

23.01.2022 Here is a other photograph i love so much.. that shows pure survival. It shows me that survival is hard and if we fight to live, we will come out on the other side with a few scar... Survival is hard, it is loney, and scary. To survive we MUST have the "will to survive and fight". ... It will teach your who you are and how you act... Will you curl up and die ir fight to survive??? ? ..Photograph credit unknown.. #survival #australia #bushwalking #survive

19.01.2022 Who is going for a recreation bush walk.. ................................... For those of you in Queensland it has been announced by the Governmemt.... Queensland - Following encouraging signs of flattening the curve, some restrictions will be eased in Queensland from next weekend. Social distancing still applies, but we’re giving the green light for some recreational activities and extending the distance you can travel from home. From Saturday, May 2, you can: - Go for a drive (within 50km of home) - Ride a motorbike, jetski or boat for recreation - Have a picnic - Visit a national park - Shop for non-essential items Outings are limited to members of the same household or an individual and one friend. All rules regarding social gatherings and limits on visitors remain in place. We will closely watch the numbers of new infections and review the measures after two weeks.

16.01.2022 As a bushcrafter I love to use draw knives, here is my Pfeil straight draw knife I love to pack when I go camping with bushcraft in mind. Yes in theory a good knife can do the same job, but a draw knife also has its positives and is fun and quicker. #bushcraft #survival #pfeil #pfeiltools

09.01.2022 PLEASE THINK BEFORE YOU TREK It has been an unusually busy weekend with several rescue operations being mounted. These include canyon and remote area rescues. S...everal people have been rescued but unfortunately 1 person has been killed in an incident on the Colo river. Police Rescue and the Westpac Rescue Helicopter conducted the recovery operation this morning. These operations stretched the resources of both the Police and NSW Ambulance service. It is therefore timely that we remind people to 'Think Before You TREK' Think before you TREK promotes the benefits of planning ahead for your bushwalking trip by using an easy to remember acronym: T - Take adequate supplies of food, water, navigation and first aid equipment. R - Register your planned route and tell friends and family when you expect to return. E - Emergency beacon (PLB's) are available free of charge from NSW Police Force and NPWS. K - Keep to your planned route and follow the map and walking trails. For further information about the TREK program please head to the following web site https://www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au//think-before-you-trek Please also download and install the Emergency plus App on your smart phone. https://emergencyapp.triplezero.gov.au We would ask that people please be respectful with there comments.

04.01.2022 In the tough time of being isolated I'm not able to get out into the community as much as we where. Here is a small project I did to my light infantry 2 knife. I wanted to make this knife more practical with no serrated edging. So I turned it into a scandi grind. All done by hand on 60 grit sandpaper.. many hours of rubbing back and forth, as I don't own a belt sander.... Show as what you have doing doing?.

03.01.2022 Does anyone else still use a Whetstone to sharpen their Knives? Sharpening stones, water stones or whetstones (often misspelled wetstones) are used to sharpen the edges of steel tools and implements through grinding and honing. Examples of items that can be sharpened with a sharpening stone include scissors, scythes, knives, razors, and tools such as chisels, hand scrapers, and plane blades....Continue reading
