21.01.2022 Every minute of every day, a person with diabetes will face decisions, thoughts, worries and fears about their diabetes management, and the future impact diabet...es may have on their health. The daily burden of living with diabetes can be significant. It’s estimated that people with diabetes face up to 180 diabetes-related decisions every day. That’s more than 65,000 extra decisions a year. Diabetes is relentless. Diabetes distress, anxiety and burnout are real complications of diabetes. This National Diabetes Week, Diabetes Australia is launching Heads Up on Diabetes - a new campaign focusing on the mental and emotional health impact of living with diabetes. National Diabetes Week provides us with an opportunity to have an important community conversation about the real impact diabetes can have on a person’s mental and emotional wellbeing. This is a conversation we need to have. #NDW2020
