25.01.2022 Wow this sun is amazing. I am just sitting back watching the grass grow. If you to are doing the same keep in mind that very soon we will watch all our grass go brown and become a fire risk. If your property legally requires a fire break or fire prevention work to be done start thinking about booking it in now. Prepare for what could turn out to be a long dry summer season. Firebre...aks impeded by overhanging branches or organic material are a risk to both firefighters and their appliances. It is a requirement that firebreaks be at least 3 metres wide with 4 metres clearance overhead and are cut to mineral earth. See more

14.01.2022 There is now less than 2 weeks until the final day for your fire breaks and fire reduction works to be completed. We are out and about at the moment completing works. If you have forgotten to call please do so asap as the list is growing very fast. Call Darren on 0427 947 260 Dont get caught out without your fire prevention works in place and risk a fine with your local council. Remember that it may not only be a fire break required but getting rid of long grass also. Check your local council requirements. Happy and safe summer season to all.

13.01.2022 As we continue to weather through winter we can often see overgrown roadside vegetation encroaching onto roadways and main thoroughfairs causing a visual obstruction! Darren has been busy this week helping Harvey Shire prune this roadside vegetation back to a safe and manageable distance. 09.01.2022 Some local information for the Shire of Harvey residents ARE YOU BUSHFIRE READY!! Residents are reminded of the need to comply with the Shire of Harvey’s Firebreak Order. Firebreak inspections will commence on 1 December 2019. Does your property comply? Further information is available on the Shire’s Firebreak Order, by contacting the Administrator of Law and Safety Services, Tony Francis on (08) 9729 0350, or from the Shire’s website www.harvey.wa.gov.au.

06.01.2022 With all of this lovely warm weather we are watching the grass grow before our eyes. Please be aware of your Shire requirements for fire prevention standards. If you are unsure please give Darren a call to discuss. Now is the time to start thinking about what you may need to do to allow for fire breaks and clearing of blocks for your safety. There is also a requirement for there to be a 4 metre high void of vegetation above firebreaks, this includes all vegetation.
