11.01.2022 Can I do Pilates if I have never done it before? Or even much exercise at all? Yes! Absolutely. Authentic Pilates might seem different from conventional gym ex...ercise, but it is great if you are new to pilates or even exercising as a whole. Pilates is a very progressive form of exercise with lower repetitions and a focus on moving the body in several different ways. The nature of the apparatus provides support and feedback for the body. This makes it very safe for joints and really targets muscles. As you gain strength, coordination, flexibility and balance the exercises change and progress with you. 08.01.2022 KEEP YOUR CHIN UP! this is just a little reminder that at the moment we’re doing ok. i often think about what my mother experienced during world war 11. while... so many of us world wide are in despair and i go through moments of what if.... ? my mother says to me in a calm soft voice don’t worry Just before her 16th birthday she was taken in a cattle train to Germany from Russia to work in a child labor camp. She was initially sent to work in the canned food factory and then sent to work in the ammunition factory making shells. each day they would work either from 6am to 6pm OR 6pm to 6am. each day they would receive; 1 x pint of soup 2 slices of bread one mug of black coffee (at night they would steal potato peels if available and boil them and If they were lucky, some german workers would at times smuggle them a sandwich- mum can never forget the germans that helped!) each month they would receive a parcel with the following: 1x loaf of bread 1/2 slab of butter 1x small german sausage sugar 1x block of sand soap 1/2 packet of washing powder each year they would receive: 1x new pair of overalls to wear in the factory This lifestyle lasted for 3.5 years. everyone has a story.., share it and be grateful for what we have. my beautiful mother turns 97 this year and is currently in her kitchen cooking up a storm and says don’t worry... you’ll be ok PS: mum made this dress herself!
