18.01.2022 The Seasiders were expecting a more equipped and determined United for this away fixture and they didn’t disappoint. The first 15 minutes were played at a frantic pace with both teams playing some great football . The defensive trio of Godden, Sweatman and Stojanovski repeatedly pressed deep into the Bunbury half and in a rapid 15 minute spell Geo found the back of the net with ease. Polkinghorne, Pickavance, Stojanovski and Light all scored as Geo started to dominate. Deep ...into the first half and a resulting turnover Bunbury went long and found their sole striker , who with only the keeper to beat calmly slotted their first . 4-1 up at half time and with an injection of fresh legs , Myles Godden came on and had an immediate impact with his pace and chase . Combined with Light, Evans, Ferminio and Godden our midfield completely shut out United and the Geo strikers feasted on the numerous quality balls that were delivered into the final third. Polkinghorne, Pickavance , Myles Godden and a late penalty to which Tom Light calmly slotted home completed the demolition for the Seasiders . The Seasiders were clinical today which was a joy to watch but it was the emerging talent of Stojanovski and Sweatman which was most pleasing , both had outstanding games with Jack picking up his second Retravision player of the day for the season. Geographe 8 Bunbury United 1 Geo Division 2 travelled to cross town rivals Busselton City for their second match up of the season, both teams depleted due to injury. As expected the game kicked off at a frantic pace with equal pressure being applied by both sides across the park. Busselton struck first with a well taken freekick curling into the top of the net. Geo responded and began to press repeatedly into Busselton's final third, one play resulting in a penalty from a wayward handball.. Jacob Hemblen calmly stepping up and wrong footing the keeper. The second half began and Busselton found a late substitution to bolster their defence. Both sides again came out firing with the play moving from end to end. Busselton striking next with a long ball across the box finding a loose striker who slotted it past the keeper. Geo again responded with some solid passages of play and determination. A nice ball into the 6 yard box causing a goal moith scramble with Joe Anderson coming out on top, casually walking the ball into the net, 2-2. Busston were awarded a late penalty which was converted to finish the game at 3-2. Busselton Toyota man of the match going to Jacob Hemblen for a solid workrate all day and his poise in scoring.

A very big thanks to Julie and Andy Nairn who took on the challenge of organising everything...great job !! Thank you to all the younger club members, past and present who really showed how capable they are under some pressure, WELL done guys and girls.

10.01.2022 OK, we thought this little superstar may have finished achieving this year, but we were wrong! Lacey has just won the U14 Fairest and Best for her team at the SingaCup - Asia's Premier International Youth Football Tournament Yes...U14...Fairest and Best! She has JUST TURNED 11 years old. This little superstar has so much potential (Did someone say Matildas?) ... Lacey's team finished 3rd overall for the tournament and we want to congratulate not only Lacey's team but all of the WA players that went over and made us proud!! Congratulations again Lacey, we are all very proud of you!

10.01.2022 How did our Under 13's go in the 2019 season? Let's find out from Coach Josh. This season started off as a struggle for the 13s and under team. With only 8 players for the first round, we were in trouble of not completing the season. But thankfully we were able to hang in there with the help of two junior players stepping up and a Pakistani superstar joining the team. With the eleven players I had, my goal was to ensure the team would be competitive. Even though the results... didn’t always show this, everyone agreed on how far the team had come. A highlight included having three of our players in the top 15 goal scorers of the league. Awards this year went to Henry for most improved, Blake as runner-up F&B and Rozi as F&B and also taking out golden boot with 16 goals for the season. Special mention went to Drew and Jack for doing an awesome job playing up out of their age group. Everyone improved so significantly this season and continued to try even without subs I found it fitting to present each player with a coaches award. I look forward to seeing what this group can achieve next year. Cheers, coach Josh
