08.01.2022 Sunday 20 September 2020 marked the first Law Enforcement Global Virtual Torch Run for Special Olympics. One of the goals of Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) i...s to champion acceptance and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities. People with an intellectual disability face significant barriers to inclusion and participation in many aspects of society including insufficient physical activity. Special Olympics and Law Enforcement Torch Run - Victoria, Australia are working in partnership to address these barriers. Over 550 Victoria Police personnel with Special Olympics athletes and their families came together ‘virtually whilst apart’, to show their support by walking, running and cycling across many parts of Victoria. The event continues across the month of September so there is still time to take part and show your support for the Special Olympics athletes. Register now at www.letr.org/GVTR #GlobalTorchRun
