22.01.2022 When a client that you are supporting in your Health Business, presents a level of satisfaction, how do you normally respond? As a Dietitian, Naturopath, Health Coach or a Nutritionist, the service is not tactile, but rather advice for the client to implement to ideally experience the benefits. The journey needs to be well supported and tailored at each step. I can re-assure you, the classic medical model of face to face consultations, is completely inadequate.... I have experienced a 90% retention rate of my clients. This only occurs when I provide unlimited support as part of an online program. This might appear overwhelming to you, to even consider unlimited support. This is only doable when you incorporate online education with your direct contact. But please be careful. If you promise something, you must be able to deliver and ideally over deliver. So when you have an unhappy client, for reasons that they may not have received some information, how will you track this? How will you confirm if there has been a technical problem or not? 21.01.2022 A big issue, for Bariatric Clinics is loss to follow up. There are many options for patients to learn about what to do outside of our clinics. Weight loss surgery needs of our patients vary throughout their journey. Nothing new to us, I am sure as health professionals. Yes I do know that it can certainly create confusion and lead them down the wrong path. The key is keeping them as much as possible close to our heart in our clinics, to help them achieve their full potential.... One key component, is the ability to provide education and support to your weight loss surgery patients, when they need help, on the day they need help or weekend or night. This is called unlimited support. The classic medical model of seeing patients in a formal consultation in clinic on now telehealth, is just inadequate. 20.01.2022 It has been said, the faster you move the faster you make your mistakes to learn from and move on. That is if you choose to move on or more likely give up. The problem is that it can cost you so much time and money, that you would ever anticipate. It will likely derail you causing you to lose focus and feel overwhelmed, resulting in you giving up. I have been there before. Such pain, I would not wish this onto anyone. I remember when one of my children at the age of 7years..., said to me as I worked in the study, "You miss out on a lot mumma" As I attended minimal social events as I worked hard to move forward and grow the business. However, it has made me who I am today and who I will continue to grow. 19.01.2022 Who is your biggest support person in your business? Is it your business partner or someone else? For me it is my hubby Steve Bauzon . I could not have achieved a quarter of my professional achievements without him. When our three children were young, he was a very hands on father. Nappies, bottles, feeding, playing, putting to bed while I was at work. We were an awesome team Now that the kids are teenagers, Steve allows me to rest as needed. Picks the kids up from school when I am unable to on the odd occasion and he is awesome at the house work and cooking. Yes I have hit a jack pot!!!! All I am saying is, appreciate how important your family is to the success of your business.

19.01.2022 With over 20 years bariatric experience, the dietetic support has evolved and grown based on the needs of the community. I do find that the most crucial point of gaining the patients confidence for them to want to engage for support ongoing is two fold: 1. offering them knowledge pre surgery that they can't google or learn from their family and friends. I like hearing the comments, "I didn't know that" "I thought I knew everything" 2. Addressing their practical and emotional ...needs in the first 2 to 3 months post surgery, on the day they need help. No matter how well prepared the patient is, living the life can become a very big reality check and be quite shocked by the dramatic lifestyle changes. Market research has indicated that if the patient did not have unlimited support, to contact the dietitian as needed, they would not have made an appointment to address these concerns. This demonstrates that unlimited support is crucial, which supports a 90% patient retention rate to the education program.

15.01.2022 No Matter what you do, when running your own business, things will become a struggle either from your own mistakes or not. This is part of the journey. Just like every other aspect in your life. But, what do you do about this? Give up and curl in a ball and say no more? Sometimes this is the only way out and it is very appropriate. COVID is not the only reason things may have gone wrong in your business over the past 12 months. Now could possibly be the time to really se...lf reflect, to find the real answer. Have you always wanted to grow health business in a different way, but never got around to it? Are you missing the boat at present watching everyone else combine an online element to their practice? One key activity I have found to be the most helpful in growing and scaling my business, is to surround yourself with like minded people. In fact the dumber you feel around other business minded individuals , the better. Your personal and professional growth will be the biggest. ...
