24.01.2022 At The Avenue Bowling Club Bacchus Marsh we are looking for Lawn Bowlers to play in one of our Pennant teams. Lawn Bowls is a Young Persons game that Older Persons can play. Come and join a friendly club to either start your Bowls journey or continue playing the great game. We welcome Male and Female players of all ages that are interested in playing in one of our Saturday and/or Monday pennant teams competing in the Ballarat District competition starting in October. Also ...New members have their initial uniforms supplied. Contact us on the above Phone number, email or message via Facebook page and we will arrange to meet and complete a membership or come down to the club for a chat and roll up. We also have an extensive social bowling program for you to enjoy.

16.01.2022 Our clubs Thursday social bowls this week was played as drawn Pairs, with a good turn out and fantastic weather it was enjoyed by all. the greens are playing fantastic and surrounds are looking sharp thanks to the magnificent efforts of Gilly Tudball......

10.01.2022 Congratulations to our Club Fours Champions, the team of Harley Thistlethwaite, Tom Bowtell, Alan Thistlethwaite & Ben Gould (skip) who defeated Graham Day, Marie Russell, Frank Pomeroy & Steve Sullivan (skip). The match was a classic with great bowls played by all players throughout it. When one team got out to a small lead it was quickly pegged back. As expected it came down to the last end, The Gould led team held a one shot advantage, when the skips took the mat the Sullivan team were holding 3 shots very close to the jack. Ben with his first bowl was able to draw a resting toucher to hold match. Steve was unable to remove it with his last bowl, leaving a 2 shot win 17-15. Once again a classic match, congrats to all players for producing such a high quality match.

10.01.2022 The Season is fast approaching so dust of your Bowls..... Some dates and venues for Practice matches have been decided on. September 1st at Sunbury, 1.00pm start in uniform with a gold coin donation bar b que after the match. Sunbury is not charging us any green fees. September 15th is the Bakers Delight Challenge at Avenue. 12.30pm start in uniform.... 03.01.2022 The Bendigo Bank Fours has been run and won on a very inclement day, however we got through without any weather interruptions apart from being very cold. the field was made of of teams from Avenue BC, Bacchus Marsh BC, several teams from Ballarat BC Clubs, Melton, Gisborne and Ocean Groove to name few they made for a very successful day. The winners were from Bacchus March Bowling Club Glen Arthur ... Cory Davies Alister Davies Kenny Kean congratulations well done..
