24.01.2022 It's getting towards the end of the year which can only mean one thing... it's nearly reed season! Reed avocados are a specialty of the @BarhamAvocados team. They're nearly double the size of other varieties (we think of them as emu eggs) and they have a rich, buttery, nutty flavour. We reckon they're the perfect Christmas avocado ;)

21.01.2022 Did you know avocados arrived in Australia in 1840, via a seed that was planted in the Sydney Botanical Gardens? But it wasn't for another 100+ years until they started to be consumed commercially.

11.01.2022 Have you ever considered growing your own avocado tree? A great idea but also a lesson in patience. If planting a tree, it can take up to 4 years until the tree starts fruiting. If you're planting from seed, it can take anywhere from 5 - 13 years before you'll see any fruit!

That means that our famous Reed avos - which are coming SOON! - are among just 3% of all other avo varieties grown in Australia... which is why they're super special, and not easy to find in supermarkets. #GoodAvosAlways
