21.01.2022 The Developer of Avonlee Estate has applied to the City of Swan to amend the Local Structure Plan, allowing the Estate to relocate and increase the size of the planned Activity Node on Arpent Link further south onto Palfrey Street, and to provide for a medical centre, pharmacy and local shops. This will bring much-needed facilities to the area and support the growing community of Avonlee Estate and surrounding developments. If you would like to support this amendment and he...lp bring these facilities to the area, we encourage you to send a letter of support to the council this month. Please let us know if you intend to submit a support letter - you can write your own or send us a message and we can email you a template. 19.01.2022 Work on Stage 10 Riesling Release is progressing well, with construction now complete. The next step is receiving the clearances from the council and other authorities, then processing for titles with the WAPC and Landgate. If you know someone interested in living at Avonlee, this is a great time to get serious as you can now see what the Riesling Release lots look like, and they will be titled and ready to build on soon. 16.01.2022 A really fun morning of planting at Avonlee Private Estate, Brabham today. Thank you to everyone who joined us to successfully plant 1,000 native tubestocks at your favourite estate. We hope you got some handy tips from Sue McDougall and we look forward to seeing you at the next event.
16.01.2022 The City of Swan elections are coming up and Brabham will be moving into the new Whiteman Ward. The current council member, John McNamara, would like to share the following message with Avonlee residents. We may post messages from the other candidates for this ward if they would also like to share something. I came from Ireland to Australia 28years ago and settled in Ballajura. I recognised the serious need for facilities and services in Ballajura and some 20yrs ago, I nomina...ted and was elected in May 1997 to the then Shire of Swan Council. Since then, I have demanded and received vast improvements in Facilities and Services. My energy and dedication to serve the Community has not waned one ounce, so I will continue to serve with honesty and Integrity if re-elected. Please help me to help you. I have worked with my fellow Councillors to improve services throughout the City of Swan and we have allocated approximately $55 million dollars (explained in my election hand out) to the Brabham and Henley Brook areas. The event is being held near the Arpent Link/Cob Road intersection at 9.30AM and all "registered" families get a fantastic goodie bag full of great Seasol and Richgro Garden Products. Celebrity Gardener SUE McDOUGALL will be giving advice on how to use your gifts and plant the... Everlastings seeds at her Gardening Workshop and Morning Tea at 10.45. 01.01.2022 Planting of the pipeline corridor along Arpernt Link and Stage 9 is now complete. Avonlee residents did a tremendous job planting 1,000 tube stocks on our Community Planting Day, with with an additional 3,000 tube stocks now planted by our landscapers to finish. We look forward to watching these grow and thrive along with the Avonlee Community.
