06.01.2022 How is everyone going/feeling now that some time has passed adapting to a ‘new normal’ way of life? I know for one I am looking forward to more physical hugs!! Something that I have noticed within myself once surrendering to this whole process was a state of calm accepting all that was. This led to my next tip below. I hope it helps on your journey too ... Tip 5 : Radical Self Acceptance This is an inspired from a psychologist based in North America Margie Donlan and a post she wrote on dealing with coping strategies for the pandemic. I do sense a shift somewhat however, feel this is very relevant now and in our everyday when we can live from too much stress and sometimes fear. How often do you listen to your thoughts in your head and what they say about yourself? Particularly during this time, make sure you practice true self acceptance radically! - in all areas of your life. That includes in your head! Take a moment now to accept where you are at, your body as it is, your life without question, have no blame nor guilt and see if you can truly bring a state of acceptance into being. There is no fail, in knowing that, feel the freedom that this brings. What does true self acceptance feel like? Look like for you?

01.01.2022 As we gear into the Easter weekend where our usual Easter celebrations might not be able to happen, here is something simple to focus on. Tip 4 : Getting creative Find a medium that you are comfortable with and allow yourself to be expressive. The emotional brain is very receptive to creativity and it is a great outlet to release feelings. If new to creativity you can start with a scribble drawing just scribble and then turn the page upside down and see if you can ‘see’ ...any images in the scribbles, sometimes it is quite amazing what you find. This can get the creative juices flowing. My creative moment was as simple as painting a rainbow I loved how painting all the different colours made me feel and the focus of painting brought me quite still within. My daughter painted a rainbow with me too and then we went into the garden and found different natural inspiration that carried the same colours that are in a rainbow. Thank you Kate Dunn for colourful idea that led to this You are never too old to paint a rainbow. Creativity = fun! post your rainbows below!
