14.01.2022 Today the "Side by Side" project in Broadmeadows commemorated the centenary of the of the return if the 4th Light Horse Regiment and Brigade from the first worl...d war. Speakers included Frank McGuire member for Broadmeadows, Ted Ballieu - former Premier and Chair of the ANZAC Commemoration Committee, Dr David Holloway -Patron 4th Light Horse Memorial Association as well as Eddie McGuire - President Collingwood FC. I had the honour of framing a French flag for the occasion which was gifted to Frank McGuire by the French Consul General commemorating the battle of Villers-Bretonneux in 1918. The event was held at the Maygar Barracks in Broadmeadows which was where the Light Horse Regiment and Brigade trained. See more
