24.01.2022 Victorians have faced some tough times lately with the COVID-19 global pandemic. It doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve been through everyone needs help from time to time. Almost half of all Victorians will experience mental illness in their lifetime, however, this percentage is increasing dramatically due to the current pandemic. Most people still feel too uncomfortable and uncertain to talk about it and don't want to reach out for help thinking that they are doing ...OK!. The Victorians have access to a number of support services to talk about their Mental Health which we -as a service provider- have been encouraging our NDIS participants to reach for extra help and to make sure they receive all possible support for their wellbeing. 23.01.2022 The government is improving how people access and use the NDIS by introducing independent assessments for NDIS participants aged 7 and over. Below, we listed some key dates for the expected changes for independent assessments that will take effect this year. Mid 2021: independent assessments will be required as part of the access process. By the end of 2021: independent assessments will be required as part of the plan review process. This is part of a new approach to planning that will mean plan reviews are based on life stages, instead of a year or two. Independent assessments create a complete picture of how you manage tasks and activities in your everyday life. How you do things like school or work, or take part in your community. We call ourselves " Support Provider " so we care about supporting you to make the right decision and to work for your best. We are happy to direct you to where you need to be and give you all possible tips. We helped a number of our NDIS participants to make sure they are not missing on any eligibility on their plan. It is not about winning another client as much as helping you to make the right decision.

Therefore, we have been thinking of ways to reach out to individuals who are entitled to NDIS benefits but are struggling to understand the process, and advocate for them. 06.01.2022 The number of NDIS participants getting vaccinated is growing. Minister for the National Disability Insurance Scheme, Senator the Hon Linda Reynolds CSC, thanked National Cabinet for expanding the eligibility of NDIS participants, saying "Opening up the vaccine eligibility to all NDIS participants over 16 is a very important step toward this goal." From Tuesday 8 June, all NDIS participants were able to find a vaccination site using the Department of Health's eligibility che...cker and we have been working with our clients to get the required support to get their vaccination done.
