24.01.2022 I thought I’d post something a little more personal today on my socials by sharing a photo of me and my husband Jake, followed by a little appreciation spiel. Jake is my biggest support in my Azure Creative business ventures, and while it’s mostly me running the day-to-day of my business, he works away in the background as a sort of business advisor - helping me with important business decisions. Being an engineer, he loves any excuse to whip up a spreadsheet or two to he...lp with financial planning and the like. Not only that, he is my biggest fan, cheerleader, pep talker and encourager and I wouldn’t be where I am today without him. Thank you for pushing me to be my best self Jake, with your help I have been so fortunate to build my little business up to where it is today, and I feel so privileged that I get to say that my profession is a wedding photographer! Here’s a bit of trivia about us for your Friday: Jake and I have been together 9 years, and just celebrated our very first wedding anniversary. He proposed on the deck of our home we had just purchased, in front of all of our friends and family. We were married 2 years later at our home. It was the best backyard party of my life. We love snowboarding together and our favourite place to do this is on the slopes of Japan. We got together at his 21st birthday where his mum kept the sparkling wine flowing so much so that I found the confidence to strike up a conversation with him (and maybe a sneaky pash or two, haha!)

24.01.2022 Photo number 7 of my top 9 in 2020 was actually a throwback to a beautiful wedding I shot in 2017 at Adams Peak Country Estate & The Barn(one of my favourite venues in the Hunter Valley!). I still remember the day like it was only last week. Claire & Ricky tied the knot before their nearest and dearest and partied well into the evening. A glorious sunset joined us during photo time and I’ll never tire of such a stunning golden glow. TOP NINE 2020 image 7

21.01.2022 TOP NINE 2020 number THREE is a portrait of me when I announced my rebrand! At the start of last year I updated my business name and look, and I couldn't be happier! This candid shot of me was taken by a dear photographer friend who I look up to, she has always been so kind and awesome to me (and she shot my wedding!) and was one of the first to really show me how important community over competition really is. 18.01.2022 Taking away TOP NINE 2020 at number FIVE is this legendary couple. Georgina and Josh tied the knot right before the world turned upside down with COVID. This was my last non-COVID wedding. Had I have known that everything would have changed after their amazing day, I may have danced even harder on the d-floor with them both. Having said that, I still have the best time with these two and it was a brilliant day.
