25.01.2022 Hi Everyone Here we are another week has flown by. Here is our exercise this week for Class 3 from Sharyn one of our head trainers. Last week we touched on recall (getting your dog to come). This week let's take it a step further ... we are now looking at class 3 (or advanced level of class 2)... With your dog sitting alongside you, give him/her a firm command to stay or wait (whichever command you have choosen) Remember.....STAY... hand signal with the right hand WAIT ... hand signal with the left hand. Walk away with confidence to a distance both you and your dog are comfortable with. Turn, wait 3 seconds then call (COME). When your dog comes and sits in front of you, praise and reward. REMEMBER .... NO LEAD UP .... NO FINISH. This will come at class 4 level. If you are teaching the finish that's good, but never as part of the recall exercise. Always teach it as a separate exercise. Good luck, enjoy your training sessions and don't push your dogs beyond their capabilities. ****************** Here is Gen Hart and Moses with matching scarves Gen has made them now cooler weather is on its way. Love to see more photos you have in isolation. Cheers Dianne

19.01.2022 Well it is now 4 weeks since we stopped training. Hope you and your families are all keeping safe and staying home with you furry friends. Here is a little exercise to practice for the upcoming week. It is very important that your dog comes when called. All classes could practice their recall this week. Remember always reward your dog when it comes to you. The coming is the important bit, not sitting, returning around etc.... If you dog runs off, never punish it when it returns as they will not want to come back next time. Here are 3 pictures of our members making the most of chill out time. Remember send us your pictures, thanks for the ones we have received, keep a look out for them in the coming weeks. Cheers Dianne See more

16.01.2022 Due to the new restrictions and we have COVID-19 cases all around us in our neighboring towns and suburbs, and that the greater part of our committee and instructors are in their senior yours. It is advised that the Club will remain closed until further notice. The Committee will reassess the situation at the end of the present restrictions. This is Rembrandt who has just turned 14 weeks. The other photo is mum Phoebee with young Remy. Sadly Remy will miss doing his socialising at the club he will nearly be an Adult before we get back. These are the pride and joy of Linda and Bernard Evertsen two of our fantastic Committee and Trainers. Please Keep Safe Dianne

16.01.2022 I have been talking to Moorabool Council re our position to when we can start training again. Unfortunately all of the Pavillons in Bacchus Marsh are closed with no date as yet to when we can access our clubrooms. I asked if we could just train on the reserve but the amount of paperwork we would have to complete it is just not possible. I have been told by July things may have changed allowing us to return but this cannot be promised. I will be watching Council Website and being in contact with them to obtain the most upto date information. Please be assured when we get the go ahead I will post all information on this page. Here is Kerri Macpherson, Maisie and Zena who are not concerned at all about any COVID information, chasing butterflies is far better. Please remember send me your furry friends photos Keep safe Dianne
