23.01.2022 UPDATE 6.20am: Driver arrested after fatal crash at Largs North The driver involved in fatal crash with a pedestrian at Largs North last night has been arrested... after he allegedly left the scene of the crash. Just after 8pm, a Mitsubishi sedan travelling south on Victoria Road collided with a pedestrian who was crossing the road. Police will allege the driver stopped the vehicle, but fled the scene after the crash. He was located shortly after by a police patrol at his Taperoo home and arrested. The pedestrian, a 27-year-old man from Largs North died at the scene. The driver, a 19-year-old man from Taperoo was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment. He is expected to be charged with aggravated cause death by dangerous driving, leaving the scene of a crash and driving while disqualified. Major Crash are investigating the incident and ask anyone that witnessed the crash or saw the Mitsubishi prior to the collision, to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. The man's death takes the State's road toll to 8 as compared to 13 for the same time last year.

The 16-year-olds body was found partly submerged in a creek at Port Gawler on 31 January 1998. She had been violently assaulted. Heather left her home on Saturday, 17 January 1998, to meet a friend near the Semaphore jetty. She never returned home. A number of Heathers possessions, including a distinctive Tweety Bird satchel were never recovered. There is a million dollar reward on offer for information leading to a conviction in this case. 19.01.2022 Police are investigating two separate break-ins overnight where thieves have stolen the victim's car keys and car from their home. Between 3am and 4am this morn...ing, Monday 1 February, intruders gained entry to two homes in Lockleys and Underdale. A blue 2007 Toyota Rav4, registration XNY148, was stolen from Fulham Park Drive, Lockleys. A blue 2006 Holden Commodore sedan, regisration XJT810, was stolen from a house in Hatwell Court, Underdale. In each instance, the residents were home asleep at the time of the break-in but were not confronted and did not see any suspects. The stolen vehicles are still outstanding. 17.01.2022 What a fantastic outcome for Trinity and her two dogs Honey and Rana! A dedicated owner, Trinity was finally reunited with her dogs three years after they went ...missing. The reunion was made possible because not only did Trinity never give up, but she kept her dogs microchip details up-to-date which meant she was called within minutes of the dogs being brought to the AWL Shelter in Wingfield. With Trinity now living in Melbourne, both Honey and Rana were flown over for FREE by DogTainers to meet their mum and are now living there happily in Melbourne too! It just goes to show how important it is to not only have your pet microchipped but to keep the contact on it current! 15.01.2022 Police wish to remind the public of the dangers of sharing personal images and information online after a teenager was blackmailed over a nude photo. Sturt Poli...ce are currently investigating a report of a teen enticed into sending nude images to a person who had that day befriended him on Facebook. The person then threatened to publish the images if money was not paid to a website. The blackmail of the teenager is under investigation, but police are also keen to prevent other crimes occurring by reiterating to the community that sharing images of this type can have far reaching consequences both socially and legally. Sexting is the sending of provocative or sexual photos, messages or videos. They are generally sent using a mobile phone but can also include posting this type of material online. While sharing suggestive images or text messages may seem like innocent flirting or be considered funny for young people, sexting can have serious social and legal consequences. Police encourage parents to speak to their children about internet safety and monitor their online access. Be careful who you befriend online - their real identity may be completely different to who they claim to be. 14.01.2022 Update 1pm - The Sturt Highway no open following a fatal crash this morning. Major Crash Investigators are seeking information from the public following a fatal... crash near Waikerie this morning. Just before 4.30am a blue Mitsubishi Pajero 4WD travelling west on the Sturt Highway left the road and rolled about 5kms east of Waikerie. The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, a 61-year-old man from Marion died at the scene. Major Crash Investigators are examining the circumstances surround the incident and ask anyone who witnessed the crash or saw the blue Mitsubishi Pajero travelling between Renmark and Waikerie, to please contact to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. 13.01.2022 SIGHTING: Dog, WINDSOR GARDENS 1/2/16 Hi just wanted to let someone know just after kindy drop off this morning at klemzig kindergarten there was a small brown ...dog running through the streets with no collar on, had a few grey hairs around face. I followed it in my car for a while as it ran full speed over several blocks in an unsafe manner. eventually it ran onto a doorstep and sat down, I assume this is it's home, there were cars on the lawn but no one answered to knocking and calling out. didn't see any open gates. I had my baby in the car so I couldn't be out of the car for long and couldn't take a strange dog in the car with me either. If anyone finds this dog elsewhere, I believe it lives at 18 Stanfield ave Windsor Gardens. See more
