18.01.2022 Hi all. This form was sent to the primary contact for all teams in 2020 to give teams the option to either pledge their 2020 fees to the association or receive a partial refund. There has been very little response. Please have your coach or team manager complete the form on your behalf and provide bank account details for the refund if required. If we have no response for your team, it will be assumed that you have agreed to pledge your 2020 fees to the association (gratefully accepted!) Thanks.

17.01.2022 The new committee will be meeting over the next few weeks to consider all the current Netball Victoria and council guidelines in place for running indoor sporting competitions. We would like to see the resumption of all our competitions as soon as possible but must ensure it is feasible and safe for all involved.

17.01.2022 Session 2 of Firetails pre-season training saw the girls participate in a lung bursting session with Robin K Fitness. The girls pushed hard with great determination. Robin has been a great supporter of our program and we thank her for her time and motivation. Highly recommend her for youth focused strength and conditioning training.

13.01.2022 Firetails girls participated in some team building activities today at Lady Northcote Camp. Was a great day of personal growth and team challenges. So proud of all the girls especially those who stepped out of their comfort zone and took on new heights. Loved seeing everyone working together and encouraging each other. There were many lessons learnt in a fun environment!

12.01.2022 Calling for expressions of interest! Tracy Wallace and Shelley O’Donnell have approached the association keen to run some clinics for BMNA kids. Depending on interest, clinics would run on either a Saturday or Sunday in various age groups. **Strict Covid procedures would of course be in play. ... 09.01.2022 Thanks to everyone who attended the AGM tonight. Congratulations to Jennifer Walters on an outstanding term as President - you have left big shoes to fill. Thanks to those continuing on and the new additions to the general committee, BMNA appreciates your support. As Jen mentioned, we are still seeking a President and Vice President and will need these roles filled before a new season in 2021 can commence. An assistant secretary would also be greatly appreciated. 03.01.2022 I watched this game on the weekend. At the start of the game I said to my daughter - Indigenous Round, wouldn’t be amazing if Mi Mi got best on! Didn’t realise she wasn’t starting. I saw the Firebirds WA go down with massive cramps in the last quarter and thought - Yes! Here she comes. I absolutely love watching her play - insane athlete! Disappointing that she didn’t get a run. I’m 100% sure there are sound reasons behind it. But disappointing nonetheless. ... What are your thoughts

01.01.2022 Try and take this time to find all the things you’re grateful for while we have so much downtime. I’m grateful for the extra time at home with my kids. I’m grateful for some extra time to recover from having Nate, so I can be my best on the court. I’m grateful for our wonderful committee who are still keeping in touch behind the scenes to make sure that when we can come back, we will do so safely. ... Stay strong BMNA families

01.01.2022 BMNA Firetails are currently planning for the 2021 season. Next year we hope to continue our pathway program with the introduction of new player development opportunities and fun experiences. To support this program we are in need of coaches for all age groups. If you are a qualified coach, parent, past player or secondary student and are passionate about supporting our young people through sport, please consider nominating yourself.
